Well that's a very generous offer! & one that I would be very grateful for, if that offer was aimed at me. It's by far the best audience recording from '69, but it's such a shame there are 'glitches' with the recording.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm still non the wiser though. I have heard the 'Swinging Pig' version & that is the same, or very similar to the digipack version I mentioned. The Vinyl Gang disc I mentioned has FAR better sound, but, as I said it's incomplete & has some 'drop-out'. The beginning of 'Midnight Rambler' is also missing.

Hi to all my new friends!. I now have 2 versions of this show on cd. I have a European 'digipack' which seems to have the full show, but suffers from distortion (especially on the vocals) & the 'Vinyl Gang' release 'It's No Hanging Matter' which has San Diego as disc 1. This version has great sound, but is incomplete & suffers from 'drop-out'

I don't own ,four flicks', as I don't own a dvd player. After a long 'lay-off' it was this album that got my interest in the Stones back!. I bought this & the last 'Manic Street Preachers' album on the same day (same release day). After being very unimpressed with the 'Manics' album, I put on 'Live Licks' & thought "shit!- this b

Obviously I don't know Macca, but I think I 'know' him well enough to safely say that- i don't believe a word of this is true. I mean- he does exactly what the Stones are doing- filling stadiums to play ancient material. If he did say it, maybe he was pissed (ie: Drunk)- he's been having a hard time recently after-all, with that gold-digging bitch!

Make no mistake- I LOVE the Stones, but- (OK shoot me!)- I agree with him. The 'Bigger Bang' album is great, but why these huge tours?. The performances have been dreadful 90% of the time. Blues artists could tap their feet on a porch until they were 80, but you can't be an 'energised' rock act at that age. It just makes them look foolish.

I tried to read every post, but gave up after a while. The speculation just goes round & round & round.......... I am a trained nurse (though not a doctor). However, I am familiar with the procedure Keith has had & really, it's not that big a deal!. The more worrying aspect is if Keith has stopped drinking. No doubt he would have had to in Hospital (& any withdrawal would hav

Hi all, I've provided a link below to an Ebay item that I've seen before, that has me completely baffled!. We all know that there was no touring between '82 & '89, but a gig in 1985?. Does anyone know anything about this?. Thanks in advance for any help.

I must admit that when I heard the earlier shows from the tour, I thought many of the performances were pretty awful. And then- after the gig in Houston in December, they seemed to be hitting their stride. Some GREAT performances since then. As far as 'let downs' are concerned, don't forget the 2 hour waits for the band to even show up in the mid-'70's!.Also, I can

Of course people (including myself) are disappointed, but I agree that being pissed-off with Keith is incredibly selfish. What would you rather have- a postponement, or no more Stones?- 'cos believe me, when Keith goes that WILL be the end of the band. Part of what makes us love Keith is the fact that he doesn't give a **** about what people think he should or should not be doing. I

Hi Drake. I'm new here, so I really can't express an opinion on this. Hopefully I've not upset anyone yet!. I am a huge fan, but I will always express my honest opinion about sub-standard performances etc. I did start a silly thread titled 'Concussion', which was just asking how the Dr's could tell he was concussed, as he's always like that!. Obviously, that

I just received the 'D & C' versions of the Tokyo Dome shows. They are SUPERB REAL soundboard. You just hear the core band (no backing singers etc) & IMO this makes these releases far better. They are crystal clear & it's great to hear the band without all the 'embellishments'.

Well- I know I'm new here, so I have to show a modicum of respect, but if you go to StonesNews.com there IS now info on there from RELIABLE news sources that KEITH IS FINE, so- I wish everyone would shut the **** up about this issue now!

I know it's not from the Stones 'peak', but I'd personally like to hear some (or ALL) the 20-something tracks that Keith said were recorded in Paris in 2002 (the sessions that produced 'Don't Stop'). Or even better- an official 'Tattoo You' type official new album (not right now obviously) assembled from various forgotten or unfinished gems that are

Hi all, I haven't been a member of this forum for long, but I thought some of you might appreciate a 'review' of these titles. Firstly, I already have the 'ALD' version of the Hollywood Bowl shows from last year & to my ears these sound pretty terrible- really 'muddy' & alot of hiss. So- when I ordered 'First Bang In Tokyo' & 'Sec

I've owned my US vintage '52 reissue telecaster for approx 10 years & it's a beauty. It's one of my main instruments. Over the years Fender has tried to make these reissues more & more accurate- therefore, the neck on the current reissue is quite fat. Mine has a very slim neck (which I like), but no original '52 would have had a slim neck. Tele's are pretty

Personally I'll keep my 100's of cds. I don't like the idea of losing my entire record collection down the back of someone's sofa!. Also- if your PC crashes (as mine did recently)- you could lose everything you currently have in your 'Itunes' library.
