What about Goat's and Emotional Rescue? Or It's Only R'nR? The last one to me is almost a classic, but frankly I haven't heard neither extremely positive nor extremely negative opinions.

Since I was born in early eighties I wasn't around or I was very little when some Stones album were released. So I wonder what was the reception of their records when they were released. I know for instance that Exile gained rather lukewarm reviews when it was out. On the other hand opinions on Dirty Work were more enthusiastic in 1986 than they are now. What about other records from 70'

They don't have many good videos and I don't mind because I like them for their music, but there are some videos I always love watching. One Hit - the fight scene between Mick and Keith is awesome. And this "piss-of-man" look at Keith's face! Too Much Blood - the scene where Keith and Ron are chasing Mick with chainsaws is classic. Highwire - the whole video is g

I was listening to this great tune recently and I have got a question: is it the only song you can hear Brian Jones sing in? There are some other songs in which Brian did background vocals along with Keith and Bill, but is there any other Stones song in which he actually sang?

Oh yeah... Monster Magnet rocks. I saw them a couple of years ago and it was fantastic. Live version of Spine of God was a masterpiece. Over 20 minutes of psychodelia. Listen to their Powertrip album. It's essence of rock. You may also like Swedish band The Quill, their latest album In Triumph is decent music. And of course Kyuss and Queens of the Stoneage are a must.

I wonder if he said to her "I can see that you're 13 years old No I don't want your I.D." when he met her. However I bet her mama did know that she scratch like that.

I love Aftermath but it has to be UK version. Wasn't it the longest album then? (over 50 minutes when average records had 30-35 minutes). The whole A side is killer. Some songs on B side aren't that good but I still love Out of Time, High and Dry, I am Waiting, Take It or Leave It. But Stones seem to neglect it. Except for Under My Thumb they haven't played any song from it live si

Marianne Faithful recorded a few sad albums. I guess "Vagabond's Ways" is pretty sad. And by the way: which Stones' album would be the saddest? Maybe Sticky Fingers? Especially side B with I Got the Blues, Sister Morphine, Moonlight Mile...

It's a warhorse indeed but don't forget it was written by Lenny Kravitz. Jagger only wrote the lyrics.

I think it's possible. Maybe not a big tour, but something like in 1999. Just a couple of shows. Maybe 6-7 of the rescheluded (i guess it would be very difficult to play all of them) plus 4-5 shows in Germany, England, Netherlands. I think they can do this.

Mick said in an interview: "I know this won't last. I give the Stones another two years." It was in June... 1964.

I understand it that they may go for a European tour next year but for many reasons (logistic, financial etc.) it will be a whole new tour so there's no reason to keep the tickets valid. If the Stones decide to do tour in 2007 there will be new venues, new schedule, new tickets etc. We will see if it happens.

Great album. I love Hand of Fate, Memory Motel (one of their finests ballad ever), Melody, Fool To Cry. Even Cherry on Baby isn't that bad. Still it's better than LZ's D'yer Mak'er

I'm sorry for this useless topic, but I just realised that had they not postponed the tour I would be right now just in front of the stage counting time to the show. Seems so surreal to me when I think about it. Maybe next year, MAYBE...

A little OT here: this song is credited to Jagger/Richards/Oldham. I've always wondered what was Oldham's contribution. Did he co-wrote lyrics, music, or maybe he just arranged the strings?

They will do some shows in the US and then they will go to Fiji for holiday to get some coconuts and the European tour will be postponed until 2008. So they'll have a chance to do some more shows in the America.
