Without a doubt......Some Girls....... "purists" on this board dismiss the album as unworthy of being in the same company of the big 4 or recorded much after their "golden era" to count; others bemoan the lack of respect (somewhat deserved) given to Dirty Work/Undercover and try to rehabiliate those two but .....Some Girls is seminal. They were the biggest stars in the world a

It was a great tour. If you didn't see it, you can't imagine how awesome and glorious and debauched they were. The photos while spectacular can't capture the brilliance of the Rolling Stones in 1975

me?........I think there was no greater spectacle in rock in 1975. They were rock and roll personified.

They are still human in 1972. 1973: The musicians, the music, the rock n roll, the haze and the solos. 1975: the greatest R O C K show. 1975 i

Mick's vocal on this one is awesome.............anyone criticizing this one just doesn't appreciate how the Stones took R&B/soul/blues influences and made them their own and influenced their own generation of fans and musicians. This song is a gem. Period.

the Exile comparison was meant as a compliment.......I think the Stones would appreciate the compliment...........your album used as a measuring stick for a band that today is arguably one of the best on the planet.

I think..........that anyway you slice it...........Fruscante and Kiedis are fully healed from their drug dependancies....... the diverseity on Stadium Arcadium indicates growth .........and a maturity and a confidence few bands have today..........they have a lot of creativity ahead of them.............and they know how to write and pick a radio friendly song to release as a single........

....I dunno how fair a comparison it is given that so many guest artists (several of which were superstars) contributed to the Harrison album ........The Peppers are just doing it by themselves..........all I can surely say is this album gets better with each listen........it really is like a "greatest hits" collection already

KTU was the disco station for sure........in 1978 it didn't matter what kind of programing a station had in NYC........Miss You was everywhere.........I can't remember any other Stones song played as much and by so many varied music stations..........it was a huge crossover hit

Gazza you make an interesting point....they have certainly been consistent in their output...and with much less fanfar and brouhaha than some other big bands.........Fruscante's maturing (and sobering up) along with Fleas's undeniably great bass playing is impressive.....

YGMR is a good one for the intro surely....I always thought that more baseball teams should use the Jagger/Tosh single "Don't Look Back" when a walk was issued.....the chorus...............keep on a walkin' don't look back.........is kind of perfect..........

This is the best new album I've heard in a while...............this 28 song monster is unbeleivable...........I still can't get past the guitar work on "Wet Sand"............they took a huge risk by releasing so much new material and this is their greatest compilation..............instant classic .......record of the year............brilliant!!

.........that video is a "how to" on becoming the world's most decadent and notorious and greatest frontman in rock n roll history. All others just pale by his example............Mick is just brilliant in the video and so is Keith......they are each others perfect foil.

R U kidding me?........Stadium Arcadium.....is epic. Any band willing to risk their reputation and have the balls to release 28 songs is OK with me.....kudos to the Stones too for their 18 tracks and bucking the industry norm....and perhaps starting a trend.............. anyway..........the new disc is a mix of Blood Sugar...meets Californication......that Fruscante and Kiedis are not on drugs a

Both Trans America and Brokeback Mountain were many miles ahead............and the music on Brokeback alone was incredible with contributions from Willie Nelson, Steve Earle, the incredible Miss Ronstadt, and (what the hell was the Academy thinking by not nominating and awarding) EmmyLou Harris for the epic "A Love That Will Never Grow Old".............Walk the Line wasn't as good

i'd love for Mick and Keith to cover a song by The Band. They covered Dylan, so why not one from their most talented contemporaries...the song I have in mind is "It Makes No Difference" which was written by Robertson and sung by Danko. It's a beutiful country rock roots song that Mick and Keith in harmony could have a real great time with.

........the peppers are clowny?????............I think their energy is infectious and rowdy and youthful and pure..........watching them perform you know they love music and they pay tremendous homage to many who played before them...as far as their being derivative............that's just a cheeky statement..........
