I think the first two shows in London are wild. Mick T just goes off. By the time they hit USA he has been reined in a bit. I like the Pay per view Rambler. In fact, a friend and i watched it in high volume and during the old belt whip stage part, Mick T. used the reverb switch (not even sure if that is right or whatever it is) and made an echo sound that shook my entire living room. My friend an

Yes, I would partly agree, PJ does a pretty good job in mixing up the setlists. But I would not say kings of setlist changes or anything. Still play Even Flow every night, good bathroom break, i guess. The last ten years or so, same old closers though, but still enjoyable. The set list variation is the reason I've seen them 62 times since 1994. However, I have lost a lot of interest in t

Hillside Blies Loving Cup I don't know why Jiving sister fanny Sister morphine I'm going down With a few more songs they were working on which appeared on later albums, Let it Bleed would have been a wonderful double album. Wasn't there talk about that as a possibility at the time?

QuoteCaptainAcid Yes, thanks bv. Thanks Stones brothers, for the kind words and support. Thanks also to those with limited support, and to that one member that is always rude and crude. It was my mistake to share that one here, and as i wrote in a personal mail to bv, i will refrain from doing this in the future. I was aware that it`s a no-no, but there were similar things happening here

Quotestonesmuziekfan QuoteMr. Jimi Merci, but can't extract file corrupt. Or is it me? TRY MORPH-18 HERE Yes, thank you guys. I was trying to download on my phone and couldn't extract so it was a problem on my end. A fellow IORRer sent it to me. Gotta love this community and the willingness and drive to share this music from our beloved band.

Thank you. Can't get enough of 73. The Gimme Shelter from London is my favorite 73 version and the Tumbling Dice 1st show Brussels is my all time favorite Rolling Stones live recording.

QuoteIrix QuoteThe Joker Could the Stones Rock and Roll Circus ( 11–12 December 1968) have inspired the Beatles rooftop concert (30 January 1969) ? It doesn't look like. The original intention behind the Beatles' Get Back project was for the band to make a return as live performers with a special one-off TV-special performance. For the venue they were considering e.g. the Rou

Quotemidimannz It’s one good example why NOT to let the guitarist pick the tempo. A great listen, but it’s almost a train wreck. Mick and Charlie can hardly keep up Yup. For me, I feel the 75 versions are also to fast. In 72 it was faster than the studio version but at least Mick could sing all the lyrics and Taylor could still do his his thing in between the verses

Ha. I bought this record when I was about 15 years old and also thought it was the soundtrack to the movie. A year or so later I purchased the bootleg, Welcome to the breakfast show, which was the soundtrack (sort of). Oh Decca you rascals!

I just realized my 1981 Madison Square Garden shows are audience recordings, which I don't mind, but do we have soundboards from these shows?

QuoteHTD Well, not that my opinion makes any difference, but after listening to the IORR/RTJ mp3, I'm not overwhelmed with the mix either. The overdone reverb on Mick removes the intimacy of the club gig. Unfortunate. Now, I'm in the camp that now loves LYL. I admit, I didn't at first when it came out, but it was live Stones, so I played the hell out of it, 8 track, cassette,

QuoteErik_Snow QuoteDorn QuoteMr. Jimi Probably best sound of the 76 tour? for sure Absolutely not. The best ever of 1976 is the 2nd half of June 7th, and the matrix of June 6th. There's not even a question. Always thought the Paris recordings to be a bit muddy. On Lyon you can hear Charlie's high hat but I will check out the ones you mentioned again. Thanks!
