The fact they bothered to take some time and listen to their live tapes (and do possibly overdubs) is a good thing imo. They cared about the released product apparently and thus had a commitment in giving a good "product". Far better than having no (or very little) commitment to a live cd, and just let some enigineer have his way. (live licks)

Thank you for your quick review Mathijs. How bad was the sound? (acoustics) I already heard spooky stories from some friends today who were at the b stage and barely couldn't hear them during those 3 songs. They told me the stones had a hard time hearing themselves also during the b stage part.

Darryll is a great bassplayer, and on a lot of songs from VL (also the outtakes) it kinda worked (albeit different to Bill's approach).It worked for example in Love Is Strong. But on the whole I have to agree with Mathijs. Joe Spampinato or Doug Wimbish or Gail Ann Dorsey (doubt she would be asked, and If she would be willing do it) would have done miracles on stage.
