Is there anywhere to find the full setlist? I saw that discussion board and I don't think anyone posted the setlist. They rock!

Q The Stones are playing the Bay Area three days before the Who. We're inviting readers to weigh in on which is the greater band. How do you vote? Why? A The Stones are ``greater.'' But the Who are probably best musically right now. We carry less baggage, but as a result we may also convey less magic. Simply seeing Mick and Keith standing on a stage together rocks my world. B

I just picked up the WHO disc yesterday and gone through it a few times. It's not as rockin' as I'd hoped it'd be, but it does have alot of good stuff. Just curious how everyone feels this album compares in quality to A BIGGER BANG, as they are the last 2 of the big 60's bands still around. Also, throw in the new DYLAN for comparison too.

MULE VARIATION is like a Tom Waits Greatest Hits package but with all new cohesive songs. It touches on all his gifts. The piano ballads, and the wierd stuff are all here. It's the best.

It's just the STONES phoning in a facsimile of what people think they should sound like. The modern touches are horrible. There's really nothing edgy about the guitar work, it's very clean and un-Stones like. The lyrics are typical modern Jagger, nothing interesting to say at all.

This would be a minor song on any album before UNDERCOVER. As a performance, it's a powerhouse. As a song, it lacks a mick/keith classic bridge to move it from average to great.

I used to think VL was the best, but I think that B2B has aged and will continue to age much better.

THE STONES will never have a younger audience as long as they are gouging fans with these ticket prices, which are obviously geared to 'status seekers' who just want to look cool and say they are going to see the STONES before they quit. THE STONES have sold out their long term legacy for a quick buck in the short term.

Let's be honest, #1 is just a number, but when people do their stats overview years from now, no one will say "the stones averaged #2 or #3 from 1981 on. They will say, The Stones never had a #1 album after 1981. They will say, Dylan hit #1 at the age of 65! Not, Dylan averaged a chart position of #29. The #1 is what it's all gonna be about.

I can see what you mean, but to also be honest, the STONES have sold far less albums in their career than alot of people think. Alot of acts have far outsold them that you wouldn't suspect.

DYLAN started the NEVER ENDING TOUR in 1988, playing 100 plus shows per year, doing on average 100-125 different songs through the year, playing mostly secondary markets. If that's disappearing, then I hope the STONES disappear soon. Also, MODERN TIMES did indeed get 5 stars in the latest ROLLING STONE magazine, so yeah, half a star better than ABB, not that RS means anything anymore. Remem

Just listened to MODERN TIMES, go get it everyone. The Stones could do an album with the dignity and grace of this one, mixed with the raunch and punch of the latest NYDOLLS album and it'd be the greatest thing since EXILE. But they won't.

I actually opened for him solo acoustically on his last North American tour and the 1000 capacity club was about 1/2 to 3/4 full. He was a little grumpy backstage but he put on a great show with a killer band. It's hard to believe that he sold so little amount of tix at these current dates. www.marqdesouza.com

Hey everyone. There's a cool PODCAST that originates from Canada called 'confessions of a dj' that spotlights unheard rock and roots artists from across the country. Check it out here... This is a sort of shameless plug as the latest edition spotlights me and my new record, playing 6 songs in their entirety, with some comment by the host in between. Don't be scared by

TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT MY GOOD LOOKS is a better song that any song from ABB. There's a swagger to this album that the STONES don't have, and a vulnerability in the lyrics that critics claimed they loved about ABB, but that I didn't hear myself in there. Get this album.
