I was there too, also in Munich and Cologne. Frankfurt was the only indoor show (Festhalle - small venue) of the tour. The songs were played exactely in the same speed as on the US leg of the tour (if I remember right). So I guess something is wrong with the speed ot the recording.

I don't know anything about the quality of the recording but I know that it is not the original TSP label. TSP stopped their activities 10 years ago or so with a real bang : Handsome Girls. That was the last TSP release.

I can highly recommend the album from where the track is from: Tourist, St. Germain, on Blue Note. A great mix of funky jazz rhythm and definitely one of my 15 desert island records. If you are interested, try to find the special 2CD edition with 3 remixes.

The best version of the L&G soundtrack is on the 2CD "You Can't Do That Baby" (VGP-314). Digitally remastered - perfect sound!

I don't know the story behind the song but I think the correct title is Criss Cross Mind. It is in fact a GHS outtake. Informations about the recording from Nico's site: 25th - 30th November & 6th - 21st December 1972: Kingston, Jamaica, Dynamic Sound Studios. Producer: Jimmy Miller. Sound engineer: Andy Johns (with Carlton Lee). Additional musicians: Nicky Hopkins (p; first thre

After all a dream came true! Dieter "Atze" Gölsdorf has now a client of his dreams. After Ronnie Wood also Keith Richards bought a Duesenberg guitar. Both Stones proudly presented their new instruments in Los Angeles! And Atze would be extremely happy if they play their Duesenbergs live at the Stones concert in Hannover in the summer - and afterwards talk a little about good guitars

The best sounding Hampton boot is the LP Grande Finale IMHO. That was the first one from the '81 Tour that was available here in Europe. Spring 1982 if I remember correctly. Unfortunately just a single LP. The best choice for a CD-set from that concert is the 2CD Twenty Flight Rock VGP-270. It's sounding better than all previous CD releases including the famous TSP set. Sounds really li

He said "Mit dem Zweiten sieht man besser", That's the claim of the TV station ZDF. They use such statements from celebrities to advertise. It means "With the ZDF you are able to see better" or something. Keith looked real cool IMO.

Sandy Denny of course - what a beautiful voice and what a sad ending. And my favorite singer/songwriter, the late great Townes van Zandt. "Townes Van Zandt is the best songwriter in the whole world and I'll stand on Bob Dylan's coffee table in my cowboy boots and say that." - Steve Earle. I can highly recommend the new DVD "Be Here To Love Me".

One of my all time favorites is "Tried To Talk Her Into It" from the 1985 Paris sessions at Pathé Marconi Studios. A small fast number with great acoustic guitars. The version with the best quality is on the 2CD VGP-240 JAMMING WITH STU.
