Here is my little Live Aid story. It was the time when there was very few live music on German TV. We had the Rockpalast twice a year (I hoped for years that the Stones would play there) and that was it. And MTV of course. So we were very enthusiastic when the event was announced. I watched the whole show together with a friend. First we met at his flat for breakfast and later, during the Queen p Forum: Tell Me

"Songs from the movie Gimme Shelter?" I saw this album when I was a kid and thought I was getting a live album from Altamont.
I was very disappointed and thought I was intentionally mislead by the record company.
Then the live song were from Got Live if You Want It! They weren't from the Gimme Shelter movie! Rip-off! (stealing-fake)

The only one I can think of that comes close is the one with the naked 10 age girls, and Rolling Stones members dressed in nazi-uniforms.
Wasn't that artwork by some sort of famous artist who made his living doing sensational paintings, and had a book of them? I think the version I saw was reprinted in a magazine somewhere but I seem to recall a big dustup over Forum: Tell Me
Sometime ago I read somewhere that Keith had plans for an Exile single LP. I don’t how serious these plans were. For me Exile is perfect as it is but how could a single album look like? The idea is not to put your favourite ten tracks together but to create an album with a good flow. This is my choice. What would be yours?

Fantastic stuff. But I doubt that all tracks are final versions. I've heard half of it now and there's hardly any background vocals, which is very unusual for the Stones. You can only hear Jagger. Anyway, great to have this. Memory Hotel early version? Forum: Buy/Sell/Trade

Great song. I can remember that we discussed the lyrics extensively in an English lesson at school in the seventies (in Germany).
I was able to contribute quite a bit on the Altamont references. Forum: Tell Me

Yeah, the late great Townes. One of the best songwriters ever lived on this planet. His Live-version of Dead Flowers at the end of Lebowski was the perfect last song of a great soundtrack. BTW: "... I remember that show very well. It wasn't my regular TV program at the time but I had to watch it because of the Stones topic. A snippet of the Respectable video was shown and the final master question was: Who was the father of the Rolling Stones? Instead of the expected answer "Alexis Korner" the guy said Muddy Waters. Alexis seemed a little disappointed when he entered the stage Forum: Tell Me

They could title it "And in the end..."
No title, just "The Rolling Stones" like the very first one. That would be cool.
And please .... no "baby baby baby, honey honey honey" lyrics by Keith Forum: Tell Me

Do you known if all his recordings are available on CD ? I only have the 3 CD set called Hank Williams the Anthology (I am French and bought it in France).
I think the best you can get is The Complete Hank Williams box set. A fantastic 10 CD set released in 2000. An absolute gem for every fan.
Sold out everywhere but you can find a copy on eBay from time to time. This Forum: Tell Me
