Presumably you didn't see the rest of it? I assure this was a worthy winner, streets ahead of the other entries. I actually rather like it.

Does he not see the irony of his behaviour? Supposedly a rebel and yet as conventional a victim of this media driven attention craving age as they come. He is the ultimate Reality TV junkie - perhaps his last stunt will be to die on camera.

Well done for warning folks, Gazza. I would just point out, so as people don't personalise it on the Stones, (and I'm not saying for a minute that you are), that exactly the same thing happened to me over at Bowienet, which, surprise, surprise, is also run by Ultrastar. (In fact the message board layout is identical as are many other things on the two sites.)

You can find this version, (Pet Shop Boys remix), on the Best of Bowie CD as well as DVD. There's another really good live version on the Bowie at the Beeb limited edition CD, though that's hard to find now.

He IS vain so it's to his eternal credit that he HASN'T had surgery. Why do rock stars have surgery anyway? They're not employed by Hollywood with it's plastic culture. Do they expect people to say "oh, it's amazing how well he's wearing" as opposed to "oh, he's had some very good surgery". Mick is incredibly fit and has a body, (below his

I love Electric Warrior too. The Motivator is my favourite track but all of it is superb. My fav ever Bolan track though is Ballrooms of Mars on The Slider. "And gripped in the arms of the changeless madmen We'll dance our lives away in the ballrooms of Mars..." Sure had a way with words.

I was 12 when this came out and I heard Leon Russel's JJF on the radio. It blew my mind - I'd never heard the song before! (I first heard the Stones in the summer of 69, Honky Tonk Women and by 71 had Let It Bleed and Sticky Fingers and knew nothing else by them at all.) I got the Bangla Desh album on the strength of this song - a massive investment requiring about two months pocket mon

This thread has been very entertaining! I completely agree with Rooster; Turd on the Run IS brilliant but so is the whole of side three. I always loved Ventilator Blues as well. Just love Exile. Full stop.

Who is NOT disappointed with Rarities? I haven't even bought it yet though I'll get round to it - probably when it's in the summer sales. Who selects and approves these things? It's a decent enough set but most of it is not hard to come by and not therefore rare.
