I'm only familiar with his 70s work but that was mighty fine photography. We'll be seeing that body of work for a long time yet.

Quotefranzk Not as bad as I expected. The beat is pretty good and energetic. It's fine other than the solo which had me wincing and laughing simultaneously. Not surprised the poster has turned comments off.

Quotetreaclefingers Quotedrwatts Quotenoughties That was a short move. All he needed was some plateau shoes and a bit of airing on Top of The Pops. -By this, betraying a whole movement and giving birth to Glam. And thank the Lord he did. Then he gave us a couple of the greatest lps ever made. When I first bought it, and knew little of T Rex, I thought Electric Warrior was a greatest hits album.

QuoteTKinOH I'm still buzzin' about this show... It occurred to me yesterday, as I meandered my way through a 12-hr workday, that being in the Pit is like bein' at a club gig... the show is right there in front of ya, you can move around the crowded floor if you so desire... Amazing! You can lose track of the stadium itself until your eyes follow Mick out onto the catwalk, th

QuoteGreen Lady QuoteChester QuoteProfessorWolf why are there so few videos of this show on youtube compared to the others and so distant too getting burls creek 2019 vibes I'm not convinced this show even happened. There were very few live streams either. Perhaps people have been listening to us complaining about how too many concertgoers are too busy filming the show. Yes, I&#

Quoteyeababyyea Very loud and noisy All Down The Line, but I think it's pretty good in it's own way: Steve Jordan is excellent on this and so is everyone else.

Previous stages were better and obviously more expensive which doesn't make sense for these short tours. However, I think the current screens are by far the best they have ever had.

Quotepaulspendel I'd like to support jumpingjackflash5 here. When people like omerchy61 start to swear in their response they lose the discussion anyway. Besides writing '...till the Stones put you in your place' sounds like attributing divine powers to the Stones. Which proves some posters see the Stones as some sort of religion that can't be critisized. Thank you for this

QuoteGivenToFly15 The Liberation article is wrong at least on Charlie's birthday (1941 and not 1951). Regarding the cause of death, I seriously doubt a French journalist would have known what the family wants to keep private at this time. And i say that as a French citizen It also says he joined the band in 1962 so I am not viewing it as a well researched or informed article.

The upcoming US tour was going ahead anyway and I understand the contractual reasons for doing so. I would also like to see them mark their 60th with a few shows and I wouldn't see that as a money grab. These shows could honour Charlie and be done in his name. And then that's it. The Rolling Stones can continue as a band / brand in terms of expanded re-releases, unreleased live

QuoteGazza Thought night 3 was the weakest of the three, to be honest. Good show without question but as I recall they'd had their end of tour party the night before and it had a 'lets get it over with' feel about it compared to nights 1 & 2. Totally agree. It had its moments but Keith was posing a lot of the time, didn't even bother with the Sympathy solo preferring to

Charlie's great on all albums; I remember thinking how well he played on the last one, A Bigger Bang, even though I don't listen to it anymore. If I were to pick one album it would be LA Friday.

QuoteMadMetaphoricalMax ROugh and Ready is one of Bob's amazing albums - up there with the best, a work of magic, mystery and imagination, unprecedented in what it does and how Bob weaves his own myths, the ones pinned on him and the ones used by him into the larger folklore he's always drawn from, and for me, the subdued breathing of the music, yes it is pretty simple, but for for good

I saw them only at the Rainbow in 1974, (front row), and that is how I want to remember Queen. Before they were a stadium act, which was still a great spectacle but lost something in the process.

For decades it was Exile but I have more recently come to wonder if I might just prefer Let It Bleed. As noted, it can change from day to day and I think the entirety of their output from Beggars Banquet up to and including Goats Head Soup is seminal. But if I had to choose today then it's probably Let It Bleed. Just for starters it has their greatest song on it, (Gimme Shelter), but every s

If it was done by anyone else we'd be saying it was a decent song with a Stonesy vibe. But no-one could do it like Mick, Keith, Ronnie and Charlie.

Quotecrholmstrom Quotetimbernardis I think it was the Boulder Colorado show on the TOTA '75 tour that Mr. John (what's his legal name anyway?) stayed on stage in a lengthy and unwarranted fashion and wore out his welcome. plexi I'm pretty sure it's Elton Hercules John. Born Reginald Dwight. Yes, his legal name is indeed Elton Hercules John.

I call BS. Though no doubt David was a very kind person. Dates would help out here but the implication that this took place while living in New York with his wife and daughter takes us to 2000 onwards when he had been many years sober and would not have been drinking a $175 bottle of wine. He moved to New York at the same time as getting sober and marrying Iman.
