Looks a great collection. I have most of his solo albums, enjoy them all, favourite maybe being the wonderful Watts/Keltner Project.

Reading these lists reminds me just how truly wonderful their catalogue is. A true wealth of quality. No wonder I've been obsessed with this band for nigh on 30 year now (purchased Flashpoint, my first Stones album, April/May 1993).

Have always liked the album; not quite as good of course as Wandering Spirit, but Goddess for me has stood well over time. Not everything works, but there are some gems there for sure - Lucky Day, Hideaway, Gun, Blue (B Side), Don't Call Me Up. Mick's vocal elevates God Gave Me Everything from a grungy rocker to something memorable. The SNL version is indeed great.

Limerick City, so I can witness a hometown Stones show and bring the 9 year old daughter! She's a big rock fan, Keef her favourite Stone. Thomond Park rugby ground here hosted Bruce Springsteen, Rod Stewart, Elton John, Bob Dylan, and most recently Ed Sheeran. The Stones At Thomond - why not!! They could also do a club show at Limericks main gig club, Dolans Warehouse. Chris Jagger pl

TastesLikeMusic, a fine YouTube discussion show; Jason, Joe & Kramzer going thru catalogues of every band they can. Recent post, they tackle the age old question, a debate that this forum has had a thousand times. I love both Taylor and Wood, just a bit of fun with some good points.

Bit of a Stones night here; watched TFI Friday special from 1999 (Chris Evan's interviewing), Work Five Years from 1986, and another run through the quality Salt Lake City show. Copacabana I've always liked but SLC is far better I think. Raucous energy, guitars loud and rocking. Mick stellar, as usual. Had a playlist on YouTube of a run of tracks from it tonight with my daughter (she

Love it, this summer I had Ronnie on a lot, rediscovering those first few in particular. Got My Own Album, 1234, and the wonderful Now Look. Hadn't heard Now Look in quite a few years and enjoyed the playing and songs immensely. Wonderful stuff indeed!

Agreed, quite a good one. The SW album as a whole I find I'm returning to a lot. Far better than I thought it was years ago. Terrifying, Slipping Away, Break the Spell, Almost Hear you Sigh, Continental Drift would be my Top 5.

Quotechild-of-the-moon Available on DVD in Germany since last week. Excellent, just ordered! Have the VHS, and the YouTube version isn't the best. Cheesy but very enjoyable. Madcap, only the 80s could throw something like this up. Looking forward to seeing it again actually

QuoteVoodooLounge13 My favorite has always been 1234, a very highly underrated album IMHO. I do also really enjoy Slide On This - studio and live versions. Those are probably my 3 favorite Ronnie albums, but I think 1234 is head and shoulders above the rest. Been listening a lot last few weeks to Ronnie's solo catalogue, particularly his first two and 1234. Mick, Keith and Ronnie all hav

Looks a beauty. Shipping to Ireland seems to be 10 Euro, would have thought much more for a book of that size. For anyone with it, are the 70s covered very well? In the '50' book a decade ago the 1978 your had only 4 pages or so. Book was primarily the 60s.

Poison - saw them only once, the intimate Tivoli Theatre in Dublin, April 1993. Quite a spectacle - such big hair and such low ceilings. They were damn good that night though, Ritchie Kotzen was in tow so no CC. Motley - Glasgow 2006 on the Carnival of Sins tour. Excellent show. Leppard - many times, venues big and tiny. Met Joe Elliott briefly out and about in Dublin many a year ago. Le

Quotetreaclefingers QuoteDGA35 Watching current Bon Jovi concert videos on Youtube, man his voice is terrible. Literally every video mentions how bad his voice is now. Listening to Living On A Prayer, it sounds like bad karaoke! I read that it's an ongoing thing resulting from his having had covid. The voice unfortunately was seriously damaged well before covid. The Greatest Hits tour

A favourite. Been revisiting all week. That iconic front cover alone still exudes cool and a hint of menace. Every few months this wonderful debut full-length from the band gets a few plays. It still feels visceral and fiery on propulsive cuts like 'Just Want to Make Love', 'Carol' and 'Route 66'. Rhythmic and thrilling. 'Honest I Do' and 'King Bee

Live in Europe '72 is indeed a fantastic live document. Been listening to and watching a lot of live Rory recently - plenty concerts on YouTube and my own DVDs, and the stellar 'Check Shirt Wizard '77' live album released about 2 yeara ago. Featuring the four piece band, 'Check Shirt Wizard' is visceral, powerful stuff. 'Irish Tour '74' I would lik

Watched it again tonight after reading that piece on Tap II. A full hour of deleted scenes on the DVD plays like a film of sorts - some are additions to existing scenes of course, but you also have David's son showing up, Dereks phone calls to his soon to be ex spouse, and the replacement for Nigel on guitar who upstaged the frontman. Short clips but well worth watching. Lots of Tap gold

Just home after venturing into Golden Discs to pick up the physical copy. I stayed up last night to hear it on YouTube and have to say it is absolutely wonderful The anticipation, the reviews, the legend of these shows - to finally sit down at midnight, earphones in, and listen the Stones put on this dazzling, exhilarating show was immense. Loved every minute of it, far too many highlights to

QuoteRedhotcarpet QuoteDoxa QuoteProfessorWolf QuoteDoxa You know, it is incredible how amazing this band is at its best.. They define rock music in their own terms. Lennon once said that if rock and roll should be renamed it would be called Chuck Berry. Wrong. It is The Rolling Stones. Nothing else even close.
