So, is the ‘cold-ending’ Paint it, Black, from Guitar Hero III, a genuine mix by the Stones, or something created for the game?

There's an instrumental backing-track of Paint it, Black, that features a full-ending. and not a fade-out. I'm sure it's the same take as the released version. So, my question: why have they not released this, complete with the vocals? It may not exist, I suppose. The shortened, U.S. edit of Paint it, Black, irritates me, too. The U.K. single, with the longer fade, is the only way

QuoteMisterO I respectfully disagree with the word "landlord" not being used much these day. With the price of housing leaving many unable to purchase a home, many people are opting to rent. If you look on reddit in any real estate sub, in my experience it I hear it used frequently. Also, IIRC Mick was known to be a renter. Even though he owned properties, he would still opt to rent.

QuoteMabru QuoteIrix Japanese releases - . No extras ?? If you consider the history regarding why the Japanese releases have bonus tracks, I do whether the concept is warranted in the streaming-age. Is there really such a huge black market for CD's in Japan, today? My understanding is that they added bonus tracks as an incentive for the would-be Japanese consumer to not look for 'c

What? No Starsky and Hutch fans? I thought, that with all the Boomers amongst us, there'd be a few posting here. The show is before my time, so I can't comment; and I don't remember seeing repeats during the 90's. I was also unware that he sang and had a couple of #1's.

Quoteds1984 I have forgoten the number of french rooted words is modern english but that is quite a lot. And french in its turn includes some arabian terms. That’d be because of the Norman Conquest of 1066. Over time, their language intwined with the early English that was spoken by the Saxons.

QuoteSpud Took me a while to appreciate Flashpoint. It marked a whole sea-change in the way they played presented songs on the stage. It wasn't my favourite, rough and ready, best pub band in the world any more... ...and, at the time, I didn't very much like that ! Good points! Although I feel Keith was performing at his peak during the Steel Wheels and Urban Jungles to

QuoteVoodooLounge13 Quotededospegajosos Am I the only weirdo that is getting tired of it? I really liked it a lot and listened to it almost every day for the last couple of months but now I can´t do it anymore. I feel like it was a sugar rush that suddenly stopped. Maybe I need a rest. Enjoying Voodoo Lounge much more now.. Well, considering it never really got off the ground for me, I'

To be perfectly honest, I purchased Flashpoint some years ago, during a period whereby I would gobble-up all I could. Like many still undoubtedly still are, I was a fanatic. However, with my rabid fandom now long tamed, I’m reasonably confident that I simply wouldn’t purchase this today. For me, it’s a somewhat superfluous release. There’s been so many excellent bootlegs available from this tour,

I'm not a technologically minded soul, so I have no idea what it is that BV will need to do. However, BV knows what he's doing, and he will find likeminded Stones fans to help him create, maintain, and run, a modern, easy-to-use message board. I look forwarded to seeing the results and contributing there, just as I have been doing so here for nigh on some 20 years. Thank you, Bjornul

QuoteMKjan Quotedrewmaster QuoteMKjan The US figures are not very surprising despite B&L sales and a great concert history. We live in the United Mistakes of Amnesia, and that's a shame. I don't think the title helps. Most Americans (myself included) haven't heard of Hackney. Not to mention Fulham. Drew The title probably doesn't help, but inquiring minds would le

QuoteStoneage Just a stupid album title. They might as well have called it Fish and Chips or Potted Herring. It would have made just as much sense. Potted Herring has no connection with London, though. Using your logic, Pie and Mash would’ve been the most ideal title.

QuoteDandelionPowderman Quotedonvis Same with Can’t You Hear Me Knocking? Why don’t the live versions have the fat fuzzy sound of the records? That is actually what makes them good. Listen to the VL-versions of Satisfaction and the Zip Code-versions of CYHMK. Keith’s Les Paul tone was sublime during the renditions on that tour. He really ‘rocked’ it up. Great playing.

QuoteMartinB QuoteBig Al Was Voodoo Lounge not an attempt by Don Was to ‘recreate’ the sound of Exile on Main Street? If not that precisely, it was, at least, a determined effort to make the Stones’ ‘sound’ more ‘classic’ I do think the album has a nice warmth to its feel, and I do, very much, like it’s 60’s-like vibe in tracks like New Faces and The Worst. Love Is Strong is another nod to a sort
