QuoteVoodooLounge13 QuoteDGA35 Hopefully I'll get to see them one last time. They've had decent opening acts when I've seen them in the past: 1988 w/Dokken 1990 w/Skid Row 1994 - can't remember who opened 2006 w/ Motley Crue 2010 w/Joan Jett All in Vancouver. I believe it was the 2010 show that Tom Hamilton wasn't playing because he was either sick or injured.

I've watched this a few times on Crave tv, a pretty good documentary. I always wondered if bassist Mike Levine was the inspiration for Derek Smalls on Spinal Tap! Rik Emmett is an excellent guitarist, I remember watching an interview with him on Much Music back in the mid 80s, perhaps with JD Roberts on the Pepsi Power Hour, and he was showing different guitarists styles. I remember bei

Quotemrpaulincanada Who is talking at the beginning of the track? I thought it was Keith but not sure. And what is he saying?? This has been discussed here previously. I'm sure it's Mick in his falsetto voice but hard to hear what he's saying.

I'd suggest that you seek out the SACD 5.1 version of "Sympathy for The Devil" - it's on a special CD single that came out when the SACDs were released early this century. Captain, you b

Is that Wood or Lane singing vocals? It's ironic that Rod Stewart didn't like the song so that's why he didn't sing on it. Now it's pretty much a staple in his concerts.

Quotesf37 QuoteSomeTorontoGirl A friend sent this along… apparently he hates me. That is.....really something else! Awesome!! As I'm sure most know, Michael McKean, Christopher Guest and Harry Shearer were also the main characters in Spinal Tap! Shearer also is the voice of Mr. Burns, Smithers, Principal Skinner, Ned Flanders and others on The Simpsons.

All my concert shirts from the 80s I ended up using them to polish my car! Didn't have many Stones, just Steel Wheels and Voodoo tour shirts. Other bands included: Van Halen 81/82/84, Judas Priest 82/84, Motorhead 82, Maiden 82/83, Springsteen BITUSA, assorted Motley, AC/DC, Def Leppard, Whitesnake, Scorpions, Seger, etc. I cringe when I look on ebay what people are asking for them these

Quotetreaclefingers QuoteVoodooLounge13 QuoteDGA35 I'm starting to notice that at most shows now a days (at least in Vancouver), any of the first four seats closest to the aisles are now called preferred seating and they charge an extra $20 or so! Not sure if this is a Ticketmaster thing or a band thing. I think I vented about this on the ticketmaster thread. Been that way for a few year

QuoteBig Al Where as I think I have a reasonable idea as to what performances feature Brian’s harp and which feature Mick’s (1963-‘68), but does anyone have a list compiled? Don't know if there's a list but you can check Nico's site to see who played on what songs. Some of Brian's playing includes Diddley Daddy, Not Fade Away, 2120 SMA, Look What You Done and Going Home.

I mentioned here years ago that I read in a magazine from 82-83 a review of their 1982 Wembley shows and it showed a pic of the whole band taking a curtain call bow and it said that was the first time.

QuoteIrix It's 43 years ago (1980) when Brian Johnson became the lead singer of AC/DC - before the release of the 'Back in Black' album. Ha, my mistake! Fingers not entering what my mind is thinking! One of their first shows was in Vancouver in July 80 just before it was released. The headline for the concert review in the Vancouver Sun was This Highway To Hell One Big Headac

QuoteRisingStone From Daily Mail Online — “Fans fly to EUROPE to see their favorite singers because tickets for Beyoncé, Bruce Springsteen and Madonna in concert are three times CHEAPER than in US” This is similar to alot of Canadian hockey fans who fly down south to watch their teams play in places like Phoenix because it's cheaper to fly down and get a ticket than to get a ticket

I don't remember it exactly but it was something like: "It's such a put-down." Ahh, the cheerleader in the gym for the pep rally!

QuoteBosmatic1 I don’t think anyone’s injured. They worked hard to finish the album, Keith probably just wanted to relax some more down south before making any new plans. They’ve been busy touring and recording all last year and into this year. This is the first time it’s been so publicly admitted that they are relaxing and enjoying family time down at Como in Turks. Plus the Europe 60 tour had

No. Just stereo (from SACD) via high-end headphones which have a wide (almost holographic) soundstage. Btw: the 2013 BluRay-Audio is also stereo only (2.0) as printed on the rear cover.
