Quotekeefriffhard4life i could name 50 reggae songs by peter tosh better than anything the stones did Agreed, and I assume you're just referring to Stones reggae tunes (rather than "anything the Stones did" ). As I stated earlier in this thread: "...you have the Stones' reggae spoof/parody Hey Negrita, or their cheesy cover of Cherry Oh Baby - both bad attempts a

Quotedcba Quotepricepittsburgh The Stones always seemed to naturally flow into their various genres, whereas Zeppelin seemed to make the effort. The problme for me is LZ's ventures into other genres often sound like a heavy-handed parody : to me the reggae-ish Dy'er Maker always sounded like a bad dull and boring reggae spoof. Otoh I'd be hard-pressed to say the sublime &qu

Interesting.... Returned home after being away for a month, and my San Diego Litho/t-shirt package was waiting for me. It's the same nice design of the beach/sunset tongue that was sold at venue and the litho is also numbered. The original limited litho I bought the day before the San Diego show at stadium is #111 of 650. However, the new limited numbered litho just received is #26

I was able to pick up another decent single for the 2nd show this morning. And now that this 2nd show is also nearly sold out (aside from a few up-close expensive charity seats), wondering if there be any other shows added?

QuoteNaturalust I'll take record breaking heat in Hawaii over just about anywhere else, probably less than 90 degF A couple weeks ago it was over 90f, breaking longstanding records in most Hawaiian cities, and it was very humid with the tradewinds at a standstill. QuoteNaturalust Strange to have truly large surf this time of year over there, usually the winter storms bring the big wave

Out of curiosity, had any of Mick's solo releases garnered this much positivity amongst fans and critics alike? Keith is a media darling, even more so since Life came out. Not hard to understand the positive vibes given to him by fans and press really. Mick is a fu

I pre-order all the time from amazon that has a low price guarantee. And after a $35 order, you get free shipping. I always keep stuff stockpiled in my cart or 'save for later' that I kind of want to ensure $35 minimum when something necessary like this is released. Through Keith Richards webstore, the shipping is $3.99 for one cd!

George Carlin - Class Clown, 1972 Cheech and Chong - Self titled, 1971, and Big Bamboo, 1972. These were staples at our household when I was 9 or 10 years old that my older brother bought. Never have any other comedy albums after that. ps - My parents owned a couple of Flip Wilson and Jonathen Winters albums at the time- I remember them having guests over, drinking cocktails, and laughi

QuoteKurt Quoterbk ...but the J. Geils Band DOES NOT FEEL THE SAME with him instead of Jay. Does that make sense? There was a rough hewn vibe or groove or whatever you want to call it that apparently gave the band their bounce. My first J. Geils show was in 1971 and I've loved them for all that time. They're in my DNA and I'm telling you they don't FEEL the same now. That s

QuoteRipThisBone QuoteOutOfTime QuoteThru and Thru I think it sounds ok, certainly a catchy tune. Once I listened to it I couldn't get it out of my mind all day. It's just a classic Keith rocker, not spectacular but definitely much better than 'Doom and Gloom' any day. Can't wait for the rest of the album, it's got promise. ...but definitely better than "Doom
