Oasis at Sjöhistoriska, Stockholm 1996, 3 days before the Knebworth shows. Liam was like a mix of Nosferatu and Keith with a Guinness in his hand. Happy days!

I remember he was one of the 6 players in my first Pannini packet for the 1990 WC. As a Gooner I also remember the League Cup tie at Highbury in early 1999 where Vialli got the better of us. A true legend. RIP

Any top list that includes miserable thom yorke should not be taken seriously. Little Richard, Chester Burnett, Gaye, George Jones and Jagger should all be in the top ten together with Whitney and Aretha.

Quoteretired_dog QuoteMadMax What is the point of having a soul cover (Your Precious Love) on an album instead of the brilliant pseudo-calypso stuff of Blinded By Love and Indian Girl? VL is IMHO very even, some brilliant sloppiness mixed with some of the best lyrics they've ever done ('cept for the line "..sharks will cry.." Ju I Go Wild and Love Is Strong is proper 10 outt

Quoteretired_dog QuoteProfessorWolf imagine what steel wheels or voodoo lounge would have been like if mick and keith saved the best songs off there respective solo for the stones albums "Steel Wheels" is good enough without "help" from any solo tunes - if I could have changed anything I would have replaced "Blinded By Love" (which simply doesn't do it for me

QuoteMathijs QuoteKRiffhard Quotewindmelody A poetic man of enormous faith - RIP Pope Benedict XVI. A great Pope, an immense theologian and a man of deep spirituality. According to just about every follower of the Vatican politics the absolute worst pope in a thousand years. Just a total failure in every aspect of the job. Mathijs I know it's a first but you are wrong here Mathijs,

I saw 9 shows that tour including opener in Werchter (last time ever they finished with Sympathy) and O2 II and III. The reason he was in that particular state was not the 'tache but the fact he lost Doris in the spring.

So sad to hear these news. I will never forget meeting her with Charlie outside of George V in 2007. Now they are reunited in heaven. All my thoughts to the Watts family.

QuoteDandelionPowderman «The Rolling Stones' most memorable concert to date» They're not shy, when they market this. Hilarious! Yeah a pretty dull show this (cause of the non-energetic start) but I will still buy the DVD. Best show ever would be in a theatre during Licks with NO guests.

Quoteschwonek Just wanted to say that I love "Tumbling Dice" on LYL. Organs and Keiths backing vocals are awesome plus Ollies percussion and Charlies laid back drumming are very sweet too. But Micks singing is better on El Mocambos TD. I agree 100%, TD from LYL is one of my favourite versions ever. Note it's Keith's tempo (105 bpm?). The same as BA98 5th night but in the Veg

QuoteDandelionPowderman I liked the distortion at the time, even though it came as a surprise. The main surprise was that the Tele custom, for the first time, was used for open G-playing, though. I'm not sure what I think of that decision... I miss that guitar in Keith's lead playing. Yeah me too Dandy! Plus I consider it heresy to drill up the Black Custom from 1975 and convert

With Navarroved I mean that the new sound guy Navarro opted for a more distorted sound in the autumn of 2005 than had been the case during Licks, NS and B2B. In 2006 the drier Fender Twin sound was back with the still delicious first hand choice The Telecaster Custom (though its task was switched to Flash and Happy, rather than SMU.) I don't like the 2005 sound, doesnt fit Keith. What

Hello fellow IORRians! Sitting here watching SLC 2005 and dreaming back from those happy days in 05-07, especially considering this tune and Rough Justice, ONNYA and lotsa other assorted ones! That Tele Custom navarroed to distortion ( not all for it, what about you lot?) Prefer 2007's slopiness, what do you think?

Quotehockenheim95 QuoteTopi Chicago 2013 wasnt a "large venue/stadium" that slewan is looking for. It was United Center. Then again, the Paris venue, La Défense Arena, is essentially a roofed rugby stadium that holds 40K for concerts, much bigger than an "arena" If Paris 17 doesn't count it's probably La Plata 2016 and Tokyo 2014.[/quote It sure feels like a

Quotefloodonthepage I used to be an absolute Stones completist, though the list of things I've skipped has grown in recent years. It used to just be "Live Licks" - For the horrible editing "Rarities" - On principle for the ridiculous omission of Wyman from the cover photo. Just pick a photo that only features the four of you, there's tons of them. "Shi
