Putty In Your Hands..............It's great! Could have been a hit single. Don't know why it hasn't been released officially. As good if not better than Aint Too Proud To Beg, Going to a GoGo, Harlem Shuffle.

Blackheart Man is a a great album. To be honest, after the original Wailers split up, he played 3rd fiddle to Marley and Tosh, but he had a much longer innings than both of them and is rightly regarded as reggae royalty. He didn't like the weather in London - one of the reasons he didn't want to tour, which led to the parting of ways with Bob n Peter. Wonder what he would have made o

Her autobiography "Reckless" is a great read. She is fantastic live, with whatever sidemen she is calling The Pretenders at the time. Nick Kent's book is very interesting too. A Keef wannabe who couldn't handle the hard stuff like his role-model, but he's got some good anecdotes, that's for sure.

Quotecarouslambra "Bonnie Prince Charlie Watts.....I couldn't resist that" Edinburgh 2018 From same gig : "We nicked him from The Bay City Rollers - Ronnie Wood!". The Rollers did have an original member known as Woody, so pretty funny, as was the Bonnie Prince Charlie Watts one. I recall the crowd really enjoying these.

I was shocked and saddened to read about the abuse and threats BV has suffered. Outrageous. Makes me admire and appreciate this site, and all the effort that goes into it, even more. Stay strong! You have many, many more friends than enemies......We salute you!!

I met Rod's guitarist, Emerson Swinford, whilst working as a tour guide in my homeland of Scotland. He is a really nice guy who arranged free tickets plus a backstage-pass for me and my wife last year in Glasgow..... Fantastic show, although he didn't play Hot Legs....Loads of other great songs though....

"Run Rudolph Run" was used in Lillyhammer - Sopranos spin-off (sort of), with Steve Van Zandt basically playing the same character as Silvio, but set in Norway.

QuoteSomeTorontoGirl Why don’t we let them make that decision? They undergo a thorough medical check before each tour for insurance purposes, so a gaudy demise on stage is unlikely. If they want to play, I’m pretty damn happy to be in the audience. Amen to that!! I had a drink with you in Amsterdam, 2017. You made sense then and you make sense now........We both must be optimists!

I'm certain I read somewhere that The Man Who Would Be King is one of Keef's favourite movies, and that he can quote dialogue from it. Sean Connery and Michael Caine are dynamite together. Please see this film if you haven't seen it.

Sad news. I know we shouldn't really be surprised or upset when a 90 year old man passes away but I felt really emotional yesterday and still feel so today. As a resident of Edinburgh, Sean's hometown, I know the affection and esteem with which he is held here and the rest of Scotland. He was brought up in poverty, left school at 13, yet became one of the world's greatest

If you are lucky enough to be able to travel abroad to see our boys, take the opportunity to talk to and be friendly with fellow fans. I live in Scotland but have made lifelong friends with several American and European fans. Plus had many great evenings before and after gigs with fans from all over the world. But a Superfan moment happened in Amsterdam the night before the 2017 gig. In

QuoteashCompletely agree about quoting the name of the scumbag who killed him. When I was in NY last year for the 2 NJ Stones gigs, I did the open-top bus tour, and was pissed off that they mentioned the killer's name, including his middle name, as if he was in some way connected to or equal to John. That's exactly what he wanted.... I prefer the Prime Minister of New Zealand'

Studio = Sway, Get Off Off of My Cloud, Paint It Black. Live = The whole Love You Live album. I know he had Ollie Brown on percussion as back-up, but the drums are dynamite to my ear throughout....

I've commented previously that I love a lot of Van the Man's music, however have seen him live about half a dozen times, and good as the music is, his grumpy, obnoxious behaviour is extremely off-putting. He was horrible to a 12 year old girl who tried to give him a birthday cake. WTF? I saw footage of Daltry where he was asked about Brexit, and whether it would cause problems for T

Van has made some fantastic music but as a person, he comes over as a contrary, grumpy, old curmudgeon. I certainly will not be taking any scientific/medical advice from him. I witnessed his despicable behaviour towards a child who tried to present him with a birthday cake at his gig in Edinburgh several years ago. Truly horrible behaviour which had many in the crowd booing him. Absolutely n

Thanks for posting that. I wasn't familiar with that song but really enjoyed it. So sad to hear about Toots. A fantastic singer, songwriter and performer. I had the pleasure of seeing him live 3 times, and each gig was fantastic. He had a brilliant stage presence and I don't think I've ever danced and sweated as much ... He will be missed....

Sad news indeed. His concerts were joyous occasions. Bags of energy. Saw Toots and the Maytals live three times, and I don't think I've ever danced and sweated as much. Scottish crowds loved him and I can still picture a big smile on his face ..... Great voice - an absolute legend. With Keith.....fantastic song.

My Matt Clifford encounter: During the Edinburgh Festival a few years ago, there was a play called something like The Kidnapping of Mick Jagger. A one-man show by Irish comedian, Qwen O'Neill which featured a video clip of Mick pretending to be held hostage, reading out a ransom note. It was very funny, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I noticed that Matt Clifford was in the audience, so

I was there too.....My second Stones gig. I'd seen them a month or two earlier at The Playhouse in Edinburgh, so this was my first outdoor gig. I recall same excitement, and a feeling of history being made. Approaching St James Park past the student quarter, they had dub reggae blasting out through open windows. I watched both support bands - Ian Stewart played piano with George T

I understand that Trump supporters may be upset that Mick has expressed his opinion on climate-change. They may even be so upset that they will refuse to listen to his music in future, as some posters seem to be saying. Fair enough - that is their choice. Now I wonder if they could please lobby their leader to stop playing Stones music at his rallies??.....As has been requested previously..
