Song did not age well if you ask me. When it came out, I loved Voodoo Lounge and I prefered it over Steel Wheels, Emotional Rescue and even Tattoo You. But when I listen to it now, I usually skip YGMR, Sparks will Fly and I Go Wild

Rerelease of the 1964-1970 catalog with updated artwork, 180 gr vinyl. Maybe a nice box to put 'em in. New album. A few 60th anniversary shows in Europe and a final show in London, where it all began 60 years ago. It has been a hell of a ride, but I think it's time to call it quits. Invite Bill Wyman, Lisa Fisher, Mick Taylor.. honour Brian, Ian, Charlie and Bobby and play one las

The 'Stones in Mono' box sold out pretty quick. (esp. the vinyl version). Since it was released as 'limited' they couldn't simply produce more copy's, but there is a certain demand for the 64-70 catalog, If done right... And I wonder what lies in the ABCKO vaults. I'm pretty sure all the finished songs were released, but the unfinished ones..yum

Next year it will be 20 years since the ABKCO DSD remastered series first came out. In the meantime, some anniversary editions have been released (and of course the limited Stones in Mono box) but to this day it is still their 'current line' more or less. So if you ask me, it's about time to give the 1964-1970 catalog a well-deserved refresh. 180 gram vinyl, original vinyl label

I don't think the One plus one footage is very useful for a Get Back-like documentary, but maybe there is more in the vaults. Like the footage shot in the Muscle Shoals studio's or from Altamont or the Hyde Park show.

I listened to both the new and the old one a couple of times now and.. they did a good job. The Whoo hoo choir, the guitar work..love that part. The contrast between the old version, where Mick sings in his laid back, nonchalant voice and the new one where it almost sounds like he's reading the lyrics from an autocue is just so big. But i'm not sure it that's due to the sloppy demo

Wow, quite different from the "50 fully finished" version. But not better, unfortunately. I like the music, but Jaggers singing is...too smooth, or clean or whatever you wanna call it. A lot comes down on being in the right place on the right time. In the 60's in London where everything happened. And with those unique personalities. They were quite the opposite of the decent fab four. Five bad boys with long hair and the talent to write hit after hit. Longetivity is also a key word. They topped the charts for 10+ years. And they stayed relevant pop music between 1962 and c

If they hadn't played 'Ghost Town' last night, the most recent song on the setlist would have been 40 years old (SMU)

I love almost all of the 60's album covers, but dislike the majority of the >71 catalogue. Especially the live albums are plain crap. Live Licks, Flashpoint, Love you Live, No Security... meh meh meh.. Best 5: - Sticky Fingers - December's Children (OooH UK) - Their Satanic Majesties Request - Let it Bleed - The Rolling Stones (debut) Worst 5 - Voodoo Lounge - Emotio

Thanks for all the updates en reviews! You've made my monday morning a little more bearable The tempo of some songs was noticeable a bit slower since the 50 & counting tour and Charlie was apparently the main reason for that. It's good to see that the rest of the boys can still handle it when SJ speeds things up a little. I really hate woke and the cancel culture that comes w

I truly hope this isn't an attempt to make Stones songs 'woke' Because Fu*ck Woke! If not: Some words or phrases are 'Out of Time'(phun intended) nowadays of course. But to me it's just the Zeitgeist. And that has it's charm. Phones don't have rotary dials anymore for example, but we perfectly understand what Jagger means. And some snowflakes p

Surely there wouldn't be many cemeteries there, you might say..Hasn't there been a local Stones fan from the region who has made a 'tour' of the cemeteries there? If Charlies was indeed buried instead of cremated, a new grave would be easy to find, right? WHY does it appear so bl

He still played really great on the Steel Wheels/Urban Jungle Tour. Better than in 81-82 if you'd ask me. After that it went downhill pretty fast. In the years that followed he was too busy 'playing keith' on stage with wild arm gestures and kicks rather than hitting the notes and playing solo's. Since the tree incident, al of his solo's actually became interchangeable. Y

Yeah, SMU or JJF.. I don't think the setlist will be very different from the 2019 leg of the tour. It's a shame when you recorded like 450 songs and you only get to play 18 or 19 a night, that 80% of those songs are 'fixed'. I get it that the majority of the attendees are 'casuals' who would be disappointed when they didn't get to hear Satisfaction or Brown S

I'm skipping this one. I already have it on the Bigger Bang boxset and I don't like it that much. Al this money grabbing releases from recent tours with 15/20 identical songs.. I'm not buying anymore. Too bad they didn't tour after Undercover and Dirty Work.

First and foremost: when someone dies, It's always a private matter. But. When the deceased was a celebrity, who not only had millions of fans, but also earned hundreds of millions of dollars (thanks to these fans) and therefore had a luxurious and carefree life for almost 60 years, then I think the family has a certain responsibility towards those fans.. At least more than they show righ

The version from '50 finished studio outtakes' clearly is from the mid-eighties. Kinda weird to put it on the deluxe version of an album originally released 4/5 years prior.

Wandering Spirit is the only solo album by Mick, Keith and Ronnie that comes close to the true Rolling Stones quality. Talk is Cheap has some great tunes on it too, but the rest of them? Mediocre at best. Gotta Get a Grip and England's Lost are rubbish. Even worse than Dancing in the Starlight or Lucky Day from GITD. It worries me that Mick thought it would be a good idea to release those

That's mainly because they don't have 2 complete stages anymore. That's just not profitable when you do these kind of small tours. They can only play two shows in three days when they play in the same stadium.
