there were no real sound issues but i remember the sound being somewhat dull and muddy. someone shared an (apparently different) broadcast version here few years ago but those were only mp3 files. @ wiredallnight : is the VGP-170 really that good ? i have the Dandellion version may be you have that one as well and can compare

just found fll info , which was unknown to me so far , on bowiebible website David Bowie saw a performance by The Rolling Stones at London’s Empire Pool on 7 September 1973. After the performance he visited the band backstage. The following week he saw the band again in Newcastle.

. compared again a) DIRTY WORK BLUES with b) DONT YOU LIE TO ME , for me both definitely coming from same session ( 1985 ?!) Jaggers singing/voice in a) at 2:45 and b) at 1:38 is identical , same goes for the guitars both channels right afterwards.
