It's more exciting than Ya Yas though obviously more primitive musically. It's Alright and I'm Moving On are thrillng in a raising the hairs on the back of your neck-type way. Only a handful of other live songs have this effect on me; Ball & Chain by Janis at Monterey is one that comes to mind. I'm now excited by the thought of these outtakes that have been mentioned. W

As someone pointed out above As tears Go By predates Yesterday by some way so Lennon was talking out of his arse (again). Perhaps the Beatles were inspired by ATGB & never admitted it! I read in a 60's NME or Melody Maker that Lennon was inspired by the lyrics to 19th Nervous Breakdown which makes sense as the same sort of surreal with a hint of satire, but very English wordiness crops
