The new album is "Mick's baby," according to Ronnie in the just-released BBC radio piece. Of course we've already basically known this, as with Hackney Diamonds.

QuoteIrix QuoteMelBelli Paul is a mensch. Hard to dislike. He seems to be getting older now (mildness of age). Weren’t there times where he just replied “Mick Jagger? Who’s that?” and similar things? Agreed. He is mellowing and becoming less arrogant in the same way Keith has become less antagonistic.

Quotebye bye johnny From Paul McCartney's "In Conversation" interview with NME, posted May 30: Marking his second appearance on a Stones record in the last few years after featuring on ‘Hackney Diamonds‘, McCartney told us it was “really exciting”, because he didn’t normally play “as a session guy”. “It was really nice to just show up at a studio with your bass and just say,

QuoteDandelionPowderman Quotedaspyknows RollingFreak we are in complete agreement there. I was just discussing the static setlist thing with a friend. That would be disappointing if I was going to many shows. Neither of us blame Bruce for the prices to beat the scalpers but that is why I didn't go. I wasn't paying $1,000 to see him this time. I did 8 shows of the Ben Harper t

Eagles and Led Zeppelin, both of whom outsold the Stones in '70s, trail the Stones on Spotify. The Eagles, or at least Henley, have done their best to alienate fans who seek their music online. So that's not terribly surprising, Zeppelin kind of does surprise me. If there was an obvious recipe or formula for legacy acts to win new fans, then they'd all do it.

Comparing the single to Ringo's album is not apples to apples. Foreign Tongues will chart.

Based on that snippet of "Back In Your Life" from Ronnie's appearance on Fallon, there's an interesting chord change from G to either G augmented or Eb7#5. Interesting for the Stones, at least!

Quotegotdablouse QuoteMonkeyMan0108 @georgelicks, do you have any knowledge about How many Keith songs on the album? At least one according to Conan ("Some of Us" (are on our knees) ?) but yes, I'm surprised not more details are available. Especially since it seems they played a brief snippet of the songs before the press conference ? There's a video showing "Jealous Lo

Quotegotdablouse QuoteIdorh I am curious about the song that Charlie is drumming on. It was supposedly recorded shortly before his death in 2021. Mick said it is a very fast punk song. It's "Hit Me In the Head", 02:57 long Quoteroma1927' So no word has been said about the possibility of returning to the stage? Not on stage but Mick told AP (probably when he was intervi

QuoteBig Al QuoteStoneage Watched two minutes of the first FB-clip. What is Conan doing? I don't think acting as a fan is a good method. You shouldn't start by sucking up to the interview object. Then you have already played your cards and the rest will follow... A bit like Fallon, then. I don't dislike Conan, but he's a bit lightweight. Is Charlie Rose still around? Fallo

Three were released, and another one appears on the new album, leaving one or two more tracks with Charlie for a future album or project. - Of the 2022-23 sessions, 23 tracks were recorded. Twel

QuoteMaindefender We getting a reggae song? Tough to tell with the song titles. Would be nice if Keith has more than one song call to him from the Keithosphere…. I’m guessing “You Know I’m No Good” is a Keith vocal. One of his favorite themes: “I’m the worst kind of guy for you to be around.” Just a guess.

He was having trouble hearing Conan. Dude is 82 years old. And then he said “I sing sev

QuoteLHS1977 QuoteMelBelli I made the mistake last time of prejudging songs based on bland titles. Won't repeat that this time around! Why would you judge a song that you never heard before by it's title? I don't understand any logic even before you realized the mistake. Just having a little fun at my own expense. Don’t take me too literally

QuoteMonkeyMan2000 To me it sounds like Keith in open g in the left channel and Mick playing exactly the same notes but with his harder attack in the right channel. Yes. And that's usually an indication that Mick wrote the riff (a la Highwire, Sad Sad Sad, Angry, etc.).

The idea for the song may have begun in Barbados, but they finished writing it in Montserrat. The extended footage of the 25x5 documentary that recently leaked shows them composing the bridge on the spot, as well as Mick singing lyrics to the verses that he had just written.

Quotegeorgelicks The album's release was likely delayed by two months due to a change in marketing strategy: - The original idea was to create different versions for each show on the European tour, different vinyl records for each country. That was the original plan for October 2025. - Since there was no tour, they probably changed the album's name to something similar, adopting a s

Very cool. We can't be certain of the context, but when Ronnie was talking about an "unconventional blues pattern," he might have been referring to how "Rough and Twisted" goes to B minor in an E major blues. That's unconventional - and probably a Mick move.
