What do you think stickydion . . .should they play it?? They should drop the recorded intro. I don't care who the band is, a recorded track in a live performance just takes away from the power of the show.

My warmest thoughts and prayers go out to all Londoners. How more acutely tragic is it that this comes a day after the jubilation of the 2012 Olympics announcement. Terrorists are less than the lowest animal and have utterly no regard for human life and decency.

I'm going to be in Tokyo next month. Can you tell me where I can find the place where you obtained these recordings? I'd love to see what they've got. Thanks!

Mathijs, Sometime last year in this forum I mentioned something about seeing an ad for a "Pink Floyd" cover band and talked about what a joke cover bands are. However, in reading about FTS and the "farewell" concert, I was curious enough to visit your website and listen to some of your live performances. I have to say that FTS, at times, sounded better than the real thing. Yo

My wife is not at all a Stones fan. She has a completely different taste in music. However . . .she does understand my passion and doesn't mind at all when I got to see them. When you think about it, it means I only need to buy ONE ticket, and if I go with friends, they buy their own.

If Mick sings BS like he did at the Twickenham show in "Four Flicks", then I'd rather they didn't play it. BS was their opening number and he sang it in a monotone that was clearly about a quarter of a tone too sharp. Did anyone else notice that? It sounded awful. However, BS is one of my favorite Stones numbers and I would hope they do play it, but just don't ruin it aga

Why not play Bucharest and Sofia? I remember a few yaars back watching a TV show of a Michael Jackson concert in Bucharest. There were tens of thousands in atendance. I really believe the Stones have a base of fans in both Romania and Bulgaria that, unfortunately, have to travel to Western Europe in order to see them.

Altamont was really in the middle of nowhere, but drew crowds from San Francisco and Los Angeles and everywhere in between. I lived in LA at the time and my friends an I had airplane reservations to fly up to SF for the concert. It was the talk of all the "underground" FM radio stations in LA. But, I couldn't get off from work and knew if I called in sick, I'd get fired. I had

Maybe I've missed something here . . . is Yannick Noah the former tennis star from France? If so, when did he make the transition from tennis to music? Does he have any talent to speak of? Or will he play air guitar with his racket?!?

He was great in his day, especially with Buffalo Springfield. When CSN formed, it was called a "supergroup". IMHO, they were good, even brilliant at times, but seldom lived up to "supergroup" hype. Incidentally, Buffalo Springfield opened for the Stones in 1966 at the Hollywood Bowl (as did the McCoys and the Standells!!). They were a great band, with Stills, Neil Young, and R

Has anyone been successful in getting tickets on the day of the show, either from box office or scalpers, for an arena show? What, in your opinion, is the best strategy? If from a scalper, how much in relation to face value did you pay? I want to go to the Seattle show in October.

"Ya Yas" stands alone as possibly the best live rock album ever released. It is the Stones entering into their most creative and productive period, and they sounded as good as they ever did. A masterpiece! I like "Got Live if You Want It", not because of the sound or production, but for the incredible raw energy and palpable excitement of the crowd, even though one or two o

A new keyboardist, give more attention to making every song as good as it can be, dispense with the 2-song Keith set in the middle, fewer other musicians. Concentrate more on music, less on posing

I want to get good seats for the Seattle show. I usually just go to Ticketmaster online and get decent seats. But . . .is it worth the $100 membership cost in order to get the best seats possible? What is your experience? At the Rolling Stones website it says something about seats from rows 1-15 available to members. Is that true? Sorry, I know this topic has been discussed previously but I di

Yesterday I heard on the radio "Fingertips" by Little Stevie Wonder, from the early '60's. I was reminded of what a fantastic live recording it is. He was so young his voice hadn't even changed yet! His harmonica playing was over the top, displaying a skill well beyond his years. Plus, the excitement of the corwd, his back-up band, the announcer, it all added up to make f

2038. Re: Tours
Speaking ot ticket prices, I noticed the cost of McCartney tickets for his November 3 concert here in Seattle are from $50 - $250.00. Any idea on how much the Stones will charge? I believe they're playing at the same venue (Key Arena).

The guys with McCartney at the Super Bowl were his band from the last tour. Except for the keyboardist, who has been with him for many years (I think he's called Wix) they are young guys who were relatively unknown prior to touring with Paul The drummer, Abraham Laboreal Jr., is the son of a very accomplished jazz musician, who has done studio work and was in a jazz-fusion group in the '
