NOBODY has the singing voice they did 50 years ago. It is a fantasy to think they would sound the same. Some can still pull off a semblance of what they once sounded like, but the laws of nature catch up to all performers. With strong backing vocals and instrumentation, they can pull it off. Mick’s voice has weakened but he is still an incredible performer. He must work very hard at staying in s

Quotesteffialicia Quotetatters Quotesteffialicia Quotetatters It's impossible for me to listen to the double live album without remembering that I spent all of Side Two looking for a place to take a leak, and all of Side Three returning from the place where I took a leak. For fully half of the concert, I was separated from my friend and nowhere even near to the Great Lawn. There were no v

Quotemakemeburnthecandle I record when the lights go down into the first minute of opening song and final bows. Nothing between. That’s what I did at the 2019 Seattle show. I recorded the introduction and about 90 seconds of SFM. That’s all I needed and I enjoyed the rest of the show.

My wife has suffered from peripheral neuropathy for 40 years. She worked as a school teacher until she was 55. The pain and numbness and sensitivity are always there, sometimes worse than other times. She just pushes through and has learned to manage it. She was vaccinated with the Moderna vaccine and had no ill effects whatsoever. The condition is not exactly the same for everyone. While I ap

Funny you brought up this topic today. Just yesterday I heard Werewolves on the car radio and I indeed “howled along”. How can you not?!? His Keep Me in Your Heart always moves me. The more I age, the more meaningful it becomes.

QuoteMisterDDDD Randy Bachman @RandysVinylTap · 2m Rock 'n' Roll has lost one of its greatest drummers ever. Often, I’ve said to many drummers, “Please just play like Charlie Watts!" What a legacy of music he leaves behind. Incredible. Sending peace to loved ones. Rock on in heaven, Charlie! #Rollingstones #rip #CharlieWatts I love this photo of Charlie with his singer!

Many times I have watched the clip of them singing Let It Be Me in a reunion show at Royal Albert Hall. It is heavenly and moves me every time. I also saw them at the Simon and Garfunkel show in Seattle in 2003. What a great moment. RIP Don. Thanks for all the wonderful music.

Being a flute player, I was floored by JT when I first saw them perform, on June 21, 1969 at Newport ‘69. Ian Anderson was manic and talented and convinced me that a flute could indeed be employed in a rock band. But I was also thoroughly impressed with Martin Barre, Clive Bunker, and Glenn Cornick. I saw them again in August of that year in San Bernardino, opening for Led Zeppelin. At that show

It truly is on par with Woodstock in many ways. Man, I loved the performances, but it was frustrating at times with the songs being interrupted by commentary. As great as it is, it could have been better. It was a beautiful, peaceful event, so I wasn’t crazy about Nina Simone screaming, “Are you willing to burn buildings down?”, and a few other calls to violence. Her music, though, was brilliant.

QuoteRisingStone Undoubtedly one of the guitar greats in the old days, but sadly half forgotten once his heyday was gone — even before his demise — unlike Hendrix. The passion-ridden performance of I’m Going Home (“by helicopter”) caught in the film, Woodstock, etched an unforgettable memory in us first time viewers’ minds, among other historic acts who took the stage on Yasgur’s firm in Summer 1

QuoteDGA35 Quotetatters QuoteDGA35 Looking at the list, one thing that struck me was the pic of the LA Coliseum for the first Superbowl. Because the field is so long, the playing field for the NFL was placed closer to one end zone. The fans sitting in the opposite endzone were so far away from the field of play. When they used it for baseball, a home run hit to left field only had to travel

Is it documented somewhere that was what the song was about? Because "Sadie", much less "Sexy", are not two words I would associate with the Maharishi, so what the big print giveth, the fine
