Thank you, what a great story! So honest and personal. However, I was waiting to read that he arranged for some tickets to the show for her.

Alicia Keys singing about New York was classless and self-centered. It’s not all about you, diva. Celeste’s robotic performance of What A Wonderful World ruined that song. Otherwise, we enjoyed the whole extravaganza, watching here in the US. I could feel the joy and celebratory spirit of the folks gathered in person for the event. Let’s do it again in 2092!

Just watched the video. My God, I’m stunned. I got the chills and my eyes filled with tears. Not only a true rarity but one of my all-time favorites. I just cannot believe they finally performed this wonderful song, but the audience singing along was priceless. I’ll never forget being in Sofia, Bulgaria with my wife and daughters in July of 1992 and coming across a 3-piece street band playing

QuoteGazza QuoteDaveG Instead of putting all the time and planning and money into this project, why not spend 6 months rehearsing and go on one final world tour? They probably have more fans than ever. I’d rather see the senior citizen originals than avatars. So many other groups from that era are touring, why not ABBA? Pretty simple. They have had no desire to do so for 40 years (especially Ag

We rented an Airbnb in the center of Dublin a few years ago (I’m from the US). It was an apartment on a relatively quiet street and had a secure entrance. It worked perfectly for us and friends from London. But I always read the reviews carefully and dialogue with the host and, if possible, see if the host is on social media. Of course, there is always the possibility of getting ripped off, but o

QuoteRollingFreak QuoteDaveG I am deeply saddened by this news. Procol is near the top of the list of my favorite groups ever. I was enthralled by their music back in the day. Gary’s phrase in A Salty Dog where he sings “Across the strait, around the horn” has always moved me, so beautiful and pure. I was fortunate to have seen them perform live in 1969 a few times, and in recent years as well.

Great to see the Rams finally do it! I’ve been an LA Rams fan all my life. A couple of weeks ago someone here predicted that it would be one of the least-watched SB’s. It was actually up from last year. But, regardless of how many viewers tuned in, it was another of an incredible string of exciting playing games over the past month.

Quotecrholmstrom QuoteElmo Lewis Best playoffs ever? Think so. Hope we get a good super bowl I agree with Elmo, these playoffs have been the best I can remember. Every game over the past couple weeks has been high-level excitement. As a lifelong LA Rams fan, it’s pretty exciting. As for the comments about it being low-rated, who cares? Usually those comments come from people whose team was

QuoteDGA35 These 4 games this weekend were probably the best in NFL playoff history! Buffalo vs KC was arguably the best game I've ever seen. Just when you thought Buffalo won it with 13 seconds left, Mahomes marches KC down the field for the tying field goal and then marching down the field in OT to win the game. Bills defense was a total let down in the final KC drive and OT. I don

Random thoughts: Billy Preston was absolutely adorable. Everytime he was on the screen I would just smile. He's so cute, and seems like just a great guy to have around. I definitely felt that I u

Herb Alpert and the TJB were a huge part of the musical landscape during my youth. He was all over the radio. I always thought he exuded “cool”. When I graduated high school, his “This Guy's in Love With You” was popular and I recall hearing it on the radio as I was driving to our all-night graduation party. I recently watched the documentary about The Wrecking Crew, with HA making a coup
