Quotedcba The Peppers without Frusciante are a bit like the Stones without Keef... An essential piece is missing. I agree 100% Sure, Josh is a decent guitarist, but he's basically just doing a John impersonation on stage. It's hard to watch. I realize the two of them are friends, but still. It's gotten to the point where Josh even does a solo cover song at their concerts, just li

Quotebv There is always room for Canada on Stones tours. In the middle of the European Tour 2003 they flew out of Prague to perform in front of a record crowd of 450,000 fans at SarsStock, then back for the rest of the European tour. Not having to bring your stage for a festival concert helps.

Whenever someone downplays Ringo's talent as a drummer, my go-to song for them to check out is Pisces Apple Lady by Leon Russell.

The fact that it's 2019 and this article still needs to be written is ridiculous. Ringo was a great drummer in the Beatles and he was a great drummer post-Beatles.

Is Charlie drunk on this Miss You instrumental? His timing is rather off, especially on the hi hat. It doesn't sound like him at all. Maybe it's someone else?

Quotestickyfingers101 Seriously though, we'll see how many people are listening to this (c)Rap in 50-60 years. Well, I won't b/c I'll be dead, but you get the point. The true test of quality is time. Rap first appeared in the late 1970s and at the time it was considered a fad that would disappear. That was 40 years ago. It's still here and it's still super popular.

"Rap is for tone-deaf people" - Keith It's times like this when I feel embarrassed for Keith. Come on, you're an old fart. You're not "with it" anymore. People his age thought the same thing when the Stones first appeared on the scene.

How is this clickbait? "Fly on the wall I was thinking whilst watching a stones concert via youtube what would it have been like to see/hear mick and keith creating their songs . Let me clarify,,, not so much the musical sense but the words to the song. as in some of their classics which some of ya may call war horses . an example is sympathy for the devil, which to my mind the words

Very few....Bowie, Paul Simon maybe (he tried Broadway with 'Capeman' of course but it flopped). So its difficult to pull off. Well done, Brucie. Loudon Wainwright III has a similar thing on Netflix. It's

Great Interview - Where is Whitey Glan is these days -would love to hear what his take is on the great Christmas Holiday night was- Sadly Whitey Glan passed away late last year. He is very missed here in Toronto, especially by me. He was an old family friend (we're both of Finnish descent) and my favourite drummer of all time. Years ago he gave me

The release of Lou Reed Live was a big reason why his rhythm section, Pentti "Whitey" Glan (RIP) and Prakash John quit the band. They didn't get paid for that album. The record label saw it as an extension of the R and R Animal album (since both albums are from the same concert) and didn't see it as a separate release therefore they weren't paid. Here's an excerp

Quotebye bye johnny Ultimate Guitar could/should have given some context by noting Orbison Jr. was speaking of the Stones prior to their 1965 Oceania tour with Orbison Sr. Yes I think that's what he meant. The Stones were essentially a cover band in the early days. But of course we all see the headline and assume he's saying the Stones never wrote a song ever in their career and therefo

Maybe because it's not any of our business who Mick is dating? Let him live his life in peace. We don't need a weekly update as to who he is dating.

To be able to tell you he doesn't care about the topic you raised. Why - something wrong with that? It doesn't put you off ease, make you feel small, doubt yourself, or whatever like that
