Quote1962 QuoteBoognish And this here is a fine example of why The Stones shouldn't play the blues anymore. Charlie swings? Hardly. What a rubbish statement! "Kansas City" was played brilliantly !!!!!!!! I thought it was mediocre. If a band of nobodies in a bar played it like that would it still be brilliant? But because it's "The Rolling Stones" it is? But hey, wh

This is why I hate the media. They reported that Crosby said Joni "lost her ability to speak". That makes me think that Joni had her aneurysm and because of damage to her brain as a result is unable to speak anymore. But Crosby's quote is "she is not speaking yet". Now it seems she just couldn't speak at one point because she's still recovering but now she can.

QuoteBlueranger Charlie's playing is stiff in rock terms, which is great for The Stones' unique sound, but not a lot else. Even in blues terms, Charlie is stiff, which is why I hope they don't make a blues album, which some had seemed to want.

Quotestonehearted <<in the drumming department, I'd pick Charlie over Ringo any day of the week>> However, Charlie is a jazz drummer who plays rock drums the way he thinks they should be played, while Ringo is a rock drummer who plays rock drums the way he feels they should be played. Yep, that's one reason why I much prefer Ringo. He was way more innovative. A much more

It's kinda funny that people are saying how awesome the Stones are sounding, based on a shitty periscope stream. If they had been playing poorly, what would the excuse be? "Oh, don't judge them by a shitty periscope stream". Funny. Anyways, go Stones.

This page is ridiculous. Satanism and the occult are two different things. "Aleister Crowley (1875-1947) was without any doubt, one of the most notorious Satanists of his time." Crowley was NOT a satanist. Interesting website but factually incorrect. It is purported that former president George H. Bush married the daughter of Aleister Crowley.... If this is true, and it is in a

Blah blah blah. So much hate for U2. We get it. But guess what, there are plenty of U2 fans and I'm sure they really enjoyed what they did. Would the Stones do anything like this? I highly doubt it.

My favourite 80's Lou Reed album is his first release of the decade, Growing Up In Public. I know it's widely hated, even Lou hates it, but I think it's a killer record. Real heavy, the bass is in your face in the mix.

Quote71Tele Taylor is not sick. To have Keith insinuate this as the reason he won't be with them is pretty low, in my opinion, unless he truly believes it. How do you know that Taylor isn't sick? Do you know him personally?

For those that say John Lennon was a narcissist, have you never seen Mick Jagger on stage before? He wears clothes with the Rolling Stones logo and name on them. If that isn't narcissism, I don't know what is. I can't think of another artist that does something lame like that. Oh wait, yes I can. Keith.

QuoteWinning Ugly VXII Maybe "Let it Rock" this time out ?? I heard a rumor on here a while back that there is some kind of problem now preventing them from performing the Chuck Berry songs live in concert. I can't remember what it was .... royalties, contractual problem, personal dispute with Chuck Berry or his camp. I am not sure. I think that they brought LQ back at the 20

Same thing will happen this year. We'll get reports from the rehearsals of all these non-warhorse songs they're doing, obscure numbers etc.. but when it comes down to the concerts, they'll just be the same as always.

It's interesting that for almost every date they'll be playing large stadiums but for Toronto, it's a smaller venue. Is it because they've never played Massey Hall before?

QuoteGPerel Thanks bv. What do you think of the dates listed on "The Festival Forecaster" ? That site says "5/27 or 28 or 7/?? Massey Hall, Toronto, ON (TBA day/week of show)?" I would LOVE to see the Stones at Massey Hall but the venue is already booked on May 27 and 28. I guess this site didn't do research before posting dates.
