Kinda says it all about how expectations have flatlined! Now we all get excited by a few seconds of noodling/riffing/messing about by either Mick or Keith. I noodle about/mess about/riff (very badly) on guitar every day. But I sure as heck ain't gonna be producing any new album either!!

Quoteretired_dog Quotemicha063 Quoteretired_dog micha063, you're the star of this thread now! Enjoy your 15 minutes of fame! Neither I want nor I need any kind of fame. I find it strange, that a simple statement of thoughts leeds to an emotional fight like it did. Why? Because due to the long wait for the new album and with no news in sight, this thread is now full of bored and frustra

QuoteRocky Dijon I suppose the bigger question is who is assessing their legacy? The band has relevance primarily to a fan base that is already at or rapidly approaching retirement age. I used to believe Danny and the Juniors were correct, then I lived long enough to realize most of popular culture fails to stand the test of time. Bang on! 100%. Its all of supreme importance to the majority of

Quotefrankotero To be honest I wouldn’t of thought that many would be waiting outside. Looks almost like the 1960s. I wonder how many of those in the photograph knew who it was they were waiting for? I have seen so many situations here in London where a few people gather outside a hotel or somesuch, then others join ,all the while asking 'Who is in there?'

QuoteTopi No worries. We got Macca on board now. The guiding light. Well if I was not uneasy before, I'm certainly uneasy now! Macca, bless him, is not cut from the same cloth as The Stones. Yes he has written some sublime music, then he does stuff like Mull of Kintyre, Ebony & Ivory, The Girl Is Mine. So his presence alone, if he was PHYSICALLY there at all, and didn't just phon

Quotelem motlow The good thing to me is they knew when to stop and hopefully did an autopsy on the last few records. Mick had clearly lost his fckng mind at some point. He actually said “ it can’t be that hard playing bass in The Rolling Stones” when Bill left.I thought he was joking but he PLAYED BASS on about five songs! In his defense he thought what was released as Bigger Bang ( that sound

Quotedoitywoik If they are really intending to do an old-fashioned promote-the-new-album tour (which I am rather hesitant to believe, though) and want the release of the album to coincide (more or less) with the start od the tour, we may still have to wait for some more months (which however gives us the chance to push this thread to 700 or perhaps even 750 pages, if we work on it hard enough).

Quotempj200 Quotelem motlow Quotempj200 No offense but there was no tour in 2020 and I made no such post then. Nobody had any idea what was going to happen at that point. The post you are referring to was in May of 2021. And stadium rules had changed. The teams were in bubbles, the band was in a bubble. The promoters were able to work it out. But there was some crossover where players and coa

Quotebv Some seem to chase other individuals here. This may be related to jealousy, disagreements from the past, or some other unknown reasons. This is unacceptable, not just morally, but also due to IORR posting rules, to constantly pest and bother other individuals. If I see more of this campaign based rhetoric from individuals, I will have to take action, i.e. delete posts and posting access.

QuoteVoodooLounge13 I also prefer the UK BTB, but that might be because Flowers is one of my favorite albums, and I do love the songs included on it. I don't need Ruby on BTB if I have it on Flowers. I'd love for them to open with One Hit. Have so many I'd love to hear: Winter Hand of Fate Almost Hear You Sigh Thru & Thru Ride On, Baby Sittin On A Fence Blue Tur

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteGerardHennessy Has anyone got ANY information about the content of the proposed new album? Anything at all? Number of tracks? Most of the discussion, for obvious reasons, centres round the possible release date, tie in with the tour... Ben Waters plays on three tracks.
