I read that and my first thought was, It sounds nothing like Tumbling Dice but I get why some people pull that comparison because they can't find another one - as far as an intro goes. It resembles Tumbling Dice. But whatever - It Must Be Hell and Highwire resemble Honky Tonk Women. Rock And A Hard Place resembles Soul Survivor. Sad Sad Sad resembles Brown Sugar. Angry resembles I Go Wild (a

Perhaps what Bill means is that he recorded live and it's not another overdub on a Charlie track.

My working theory is that this is the first Rolling Stones album since "Dirty Work," where all the others were "Rolling Stones albums" (in air quotes). Yes, "Dirty Work" was a worthy album. Fight me. That dude is running and gunning for one hit (to the ground).

They have recorded 40 to 80 songs, depending on who you want to believe, from 2015-2019. They started Driving Me Too Hard in 2015. There's a ton of material with Charlie which means certainly there could be more new albums released between 2025 and 2030. However since they recorded new versions of some 2015 songs with Steve Jordan for HD it's unlikely they'll release an album f

Quotematxil I don't think I like Zydeco very much. But I like the Stones contribution, mainly because it sounds less like Zydeco and more like the Stones. Mick sings it well and there are all these typical Keith like licks and phrases and small tempo delays and all that. It's got his fingerprints all over the piece. Zydeco is extremely challenging to tolerate. A lot of songs are the

There's nothing special about the song. It's just another loopy mostly tuneless drone. There are thousands of songs just like it. Put Mick Jagger on it and...? It will get attention for a few days.

The commercial view of "Christmas" thing has been over for eons. Hype for a release is hype for a release. What month it is is laughable. However, in regard to what people are doing, streaming wise, April is probably the best month in terms of movement: second month of spring and life is on the up and it rolls over into summer. Christmas? By mid January nobody remembers. X am

Hopefully the new LP release will be closer to or associated with the supposed upcoming tour. HD's third single was the same day the LP came out!!! Absolutely zero happened with the tour. That's an astounding drop for UMG - the 18 month plan lasted 3 months - then a 6 month gap between the 3 months and the tour. Hopefully UMG isn't all talk this time.

The new Stones album won't sell accordingly compared to anything pre-2005. Because albums don't sell enough to be bothered to mention. It's 98% streaming. It is released, big push by UMG, talk by whatever whoever, including their age, and two weeks later... nothing - a great give off the streaming charts. It's way past the 1990s when all of that mattered. Today
