This was posted a few months back. So sad, really nice guy who always answered my emails and his book on Stu is incredible. Has any additional information come to light regarding the details of his passing? He seemed to be trying to sell off his remaining copies towards the end, so maybe to pay for medical bills? Steve

Did both not participate in the sessions? If so, anyone know why? Just curious...

Thanks for this, I really like, "Sweet Little Sixteen." I know there's a pro-shot video around but does it include this Chuck Berry track?

Ian Stewart. He plays on 'No Minor Keys' by Blues 'N' Trouble.

Mick is trying soooo hard for some reason to have a high singing voice that is actually sounds disasterous. He's totally singing through his nose, just like he started to do way back on, 'State Of Shock.' It sounds like his testicles fell off in the shower. I like the gritty sound of his voice on "Start Me Up." Guitar work is mediocre, drumming is too loud. Am

'Dirty Work Blues' sounds very 1985 to me but I could be wrong. Piano is good but doesn't sound like Ian Stewart, so it must have been Chuck? Is there any more info on the actual date of this recording? Thanks, Steve

Mick praised Stu for his, "Odd but invaluable musical advise kept us on a stady, Bluesy course for most of the time." I realize Mick didn't want to be too serious at the occasion but I've always pondered what he meant by Ian's "odd" advise. Any thoughts? Thank you, Steve

I was soooo looking forward to this one, especially 'Chantilly Lace' but was majorly disappointed. Only thing that sounded good was Charlie's cymbals - everything else was distant and muddled. So what is the source of this? Is this a "best attempt" to improve the sound from the video source of the show? That's all I can figure out on this one. Too bad...

His right knee is totally shot. Looks like a very serious injury, sadly.

Thanks so much for these, Glimmerman. 'Truck Driver Blues' sounds like a pristine cut of 'Looking For Trouble' but with reworked vocals by Mick. Love Stu's piano on this one and sound quality is fantastic. Thanks again, great tracks.

Hi, Wondering if anyone has any more info at all on the sad passing of Will Nash who published the wonderful, 'Stu' book? I don't even know how old the gentleman was but so grateful for his precious volume dedicated to Ian Stewart... Thank you, Steve

Thanks, Matt Lee for letting us know about the passing of Will. Do you have any other details at all? His book on Stu is stupendous although I know so little about the man who slavishly crafted it. So sad. RIP, Will. Steve

Really, I think 'Happy' sounds horrible. Tempo way too slow. Best version was Brussels back in the day. Mick Taylor on fire, reworked horn section, great mix.

Ron Wood plays guitar? Every time I see him in concert, he's walking around with his right hand up in the air for some reason. Better guitarist is Mick Taylor by miles.

I count 3 guitars on this song- Keith's Lead, Ron's screeching guitar that can be especially heard towards the end, and a third heavy guitar that sort of follows the lead. It can be heard at 0:17 here: Not that it ultimately matters but is this Keith adding more depth to his lead or is it more likely Ronnie playing this one? Thank you.

Stu was very devoted to the band and Bill once said he did the work of a team of people, despite his being disorganized most of the time. My question is, had Stu not been asked to take the road manager band and had remained a full-fledge member of the band, how would they have ultimately fared on the road with someone likely not as dedicated or tenacious? All is hypothetical, of course, but i

Anyone hear Henry Lee Summer's studio version? Not bad but his vocals are terrible.
