Neil Diamond didn't fit at all. His performance is probably the only low point of the film.

Quotecrholmstrom QuoteJimmyTheSaint Check out the track Danko/Manuel by the Drive By Truckers. Fantastic song. Was written & sang by Jason Isobell who has left the band. He's still performing it with his solo band. There were just too many great songwriters in DBT. He was George Harrison in that regard. Agreed. Just saw Isbell in concert last month. Great show. Actually, Isbell pe

QuoteBowieStone Maybe you shouldn't be prejudiced by calling it phony. And start from there. There's a lot of very enjoyable country'pop'. Pistol Annies are great, So are the solo albums of Miranda Lambert & Ashley Monroe. Kacey Musgraves is an up and coming talent. Jamey Johnson is utterly fantastic. Hell, if you listen to Taylor Swift without any prejudice...great

Lol. I knew that wouldn't be a popular opinion, but his playing in that era was very focused and fervent. I have a bootleg DVD of Massey Hall, which is incredible. Obviously a major letdown for the audiences on that tour having to hear all new material and considering the subject. But in retrospect, it certainly is a fascinating chapter in his career.

I hope someday they'll consider the Christian Era shows for official release.

I started going to shows as a teenager in 1989. I stopped going to see the band following what i would classify as rather perfunctory performances in October of 2002 at Ford Field in Detroit and the ACC in Toronto. I remain a huge fan of their music, particularly the Mick Taylor era. If he was on stage for entire shows this tour, I would have ponied up to see them one last time.

I was blasted at shows in 97 and 99. While I had fun, I can't comment on how good the band was. The show I saw in October of 2002 in Detroit was mediocre at best. I haven't seen them since. I enjoyed the Voodoo Lounge tour the most. I liked the set lists for the 4 shows I went to, and the performance was very good. Steel wheels shows were pretty good too.

Love DBT...have seen them several times. They were at their best when Jason Isbell was in the band. I like Cooley & Hood, but the albums since JI left don't measure up. They are still fantastic to see live.

I'm not into early Dylan. I understand why that's considered his best work, but I enjoy listening to the "song and dance" Bob more than the old folkie. Blood on The Tracks New Morning Infidels Street Legal Oh Mercy

Quotegotdablouse According to the YT description : QuoteArtist - Izzy Stradlin Song - Jivin' Sister Fanny Album - Rocker (Live) - 1993 Don't remember a live album from Izzy in 1993 so that could be wrong. Stradlin (known as Jeffrey Isbel to his attorney) wrote a few excellent songs, Patience, Dust'n'Bones, 14 years...or should I say co-wrote because like many sideme

Have seen him in concert a couple times. He's at his best when he performs on his own. He basically lets the audience determine the set list. He's equally adept at the piano and acoustic guitar. His voice is as strong as ever, but his songwriting peaked in the 1970's. Late For The Sky is an outstanding track, and that LP is arguably his strongest.

The Stones are my favorite group and Dylan my favorite solo performer. Have had the pleasure of seeing both the Stones & Dylan about 15 times each. Don’t see a reason to debate the merits of either. They were the best at what they did for a long, long time.

I like Leonard Cohen, but in their respective primes Dylan was far more prolific. And Cohen's latest isn't anything to get excited about. As for Bob's borrowing of old ideas (pun intended), check out the latest Rolling Stone interview. He's not trying to pull a fast one, he's doing it deliberately. And 'Pay in Blood' from Tempest is awesome, the high po

It would be nice if MNF mixed up the Stones tunes they are using. One Hit is getting the most play. They need to delve deeper into the catalogue.
