Seriously? Is there a chance to see them in Europe in Autumn of 2024?
That would be beyond my dreams!
However I don't think it will happen...
I think they realize that anything can happen to them at any time and they want to go out in a blaze of glory. This is an unannounced world tour, which they'll rollout in stages and perhaps in between we' Forum: Tell Me

Hackney Diamonds = Slang for broken glass. (I thought)
Do I have to be connected to a place to use it in slang? F**k it’s as cold as Siberia. Do I need to have been in Siberia once before I can say this. Do I have to have actually seen cats and dogs fall from the sky once before its ok to say it’s raining cats and dogs?

I was listening to the Santa Monica 72 release last night. Mick Ronson was a great guitar player.
So was I. Actually I've been listening to it for the past 3 days. It's the first time I heard it in its entirety. Mick Ronson was perfect for Bowie.
It’s a great live record, it beats the spiders soundtrack for me. Forum: Tell Me
It’s a long shot I know but does anyone have a spare LD ticket for the Vancouver gig? I have a friend who’s eager to go but the prices are too juicy. Forum: Tell Me

Let all us Vancouver Stones fans be happy when we get that second gig announced and it’s in the Commodore Ballroom.
Pre-party at the Roxy too?
I walked in on a strange scenario in the Roxy toilets last time I was there…
You can”t just leave it at that…

BC Place has a roof but the sound can be hit or miss. I was there most recently for GnR and the sound on the floor at least was great. (Some of the sounds from Axl were not so great) Forum: Tell Me

Does this qualify Country Honk? Forum: Tell Me
The Beatles might have made a jump from I Wanna Hold Your Hand to A Day In The Life. But Buddy’s jump from his early material to a song like True Love Ways is amazing. At just 22. Tragic loss. This new release will be interesting. Forum: Tell Me
I assumed the LD link would not appear until 10am but being the paranoid creature when it comes to ticket buying that I am I refreshed the Stones tour page at 9:52 and the Lucky Dip button was there, I clicked and went into the queue immediately. I did have to wait 7 minutes before I could buy but Im sure that was the difference between getting them and not. Forum: Tell Me
The last time I sat listening to an album while buying tickets for said album tour was in 1995 for Oasis' Morning Glory tour. But i did it this morning... stuck on the coffee and stuck on Hackney Diamonds while waiting to buy tickets. Forum: Tell Me

A great character and an even better songwriter.
I saw The Pogues several times back in the day. I count myself very lucky...
The gigs at The Barrowlands Ballroom, Glasgow are the craziest I've ever attended. Absolutely wild..and no matter how lubricated Shane was, he always delivered.
There’s a killer Pogues boot from Barrowlands on YouTube. Forum: Tell Me
This feels almost like a personal loss. Shane’s music was some of the first I heard when I was a kid and it/he really spoke to me. I saw Shane/The Pogues at least 15 times over the years and spoke with the man on a few occasions. A true poet. RIP Shane we were blessed to have you. Forum: Tell Me
I played the big 4 over the weekend and then listened to HD after a weeks break.
HD is the best album The Stones could have released in 2023 I think… To hear Beggars Banquet and then HD kinda F**ks my head, Hackney Diamonds is an amazing achievement for a band that’s been around this long and so many albums into their career. It sounds urgent and of now in places and there’s ties back to record Forum: Tell Me
