My advice would be don't stop drinking without medical support. It's a way of staying motivated to do it with a doctor. It's great that you have taken conscience of your situation. Lots of things can interfere and make a concert better than aonther one. Of course the band, their mood and shape, but also things like the venue, the weather, the place where you stand or seat, and the people surrounding you (friends, girlfriend, other fans) This is particullarily true for open air shows IMO
