QuoteRedhotcarpet No overdubs on the LYL material from this show: HTW, YGM. Nor on IFYCRM/GOOMC Earls Court. Happy was overdubbed heavily and sadly not on this video... I would have lost that bet!..Sounds just like it from the intro to the music. But I have haven't listened to LYL in a while. Great album, but I mostly listen to the Jones era lately.

QuoteElGeordie Love You Live ! In its rawest state, before the overdubs. What was with that quick side to side movement of the camera during HTW? Were they trying to decide to film Woody or Keith? Or something far more sinister.....lol It's funny, the Stones were considered by many to be at their peek in the 70's. But I find listening to their concert footage less appealing tha

I vaguely remember hearing about it many years ago, but I do not recall ever seeing any pictures. It kind of reminds me of opening day of the Voodoo lounge tour in 94 with the "Stilt walkers". I was there but have not seen a video, and IIRC pictures as well. Please tell us more, were the elephants led onstage by a trainer? Did the elephants have a Stones related (tongue) costume. How

IMHO....This album has the very best song order. I could listen to it over and over. It takes me back to my youth, as an aspiring guitarist trying to figure out the songs with my friends. The mistake in Sitting on a fence that they left on the song. Never saw the alternate cover ^^ Thanks Booga. Ever notice Brian has the only stem with no leaves...hummmmmm

Allman Brothers Holmdel, NJ sometime in the 80's.....I had long day at work and then was offered tickets and literally got out of my car and into my friends car drove an hour to get to the show and I was exhausted. It ended up being a marathon concert and the songs seemed like they were never ending. It took forever to get home and I had to get up early the next day to go to work again!. Now

QuoteHonkeyTonkFlash Some Girls probably sold better but I feel ER doesn't get enough credit. Alot of it's cuts deserve to have classic status; She's So Cold, Let Me Go, Send It To Me, Summer Romance....great stuff! They should've kept more of these songs in the live act! I also really like the production of this album, the guitar sounds are great! Definitely agree, if i

Live Aid in Philadelphia was my most memorable non Stones concert. Led Zeppelin at the Garden in 77 George Thorogood at the Garden, not sure what year it was but it was the first time he played the Garden and he was truly humbled to be headlining there. It was nice to see a performer truly appreciative of his own luck. It was like watching the movie where the underdog gets the girl. Bruc

Honkin On Bobo part 2......no thanks I want to see the Stones shoot for one last great original album, thats not to say it should not include a cover or two. But I would Love more than anything to see them come out (or go out) with a big hit or hey maybe a few big hits. The pressure is off and hopes are high.

There are only two songs on Exile that do not have the song's title in the lyrics.. They would be Turd on the Run and Casino Boogie. And I have always thought of the both songs as sort of abstract poems. Where they use the words as an instrument (sort of a vocal harp). I do not look at Exile as a collection of individual songs on album, I see it as a full corse meal and that's why w

My favorite's were..... "Out on Bail" and "In again Out again" both were from around the Toronto bust. They were recorded in the Capitol Theater in Passaic, New Jersey. Each album was a half of the show and about a year later they were combined and called "Garden State 78" on another bootleg.

My interpretation: Undoubtably their "deepest" album. Where as they drew and wrote the materials from there other great albums (Bleed, Begger's ect...) from the abstract. With subject matter that varied. Not so on Sticky, the entire album was written from a more personal point of view more so than any of their other albums. With most of it based on getting stoned and sex. B

One of my favorite bridges. Jagger really works this number, there is not another singer that could write/deliver this number. Interesting to look back and see three percussionists and no Bill Wyman. The Stones have only a small hand full of great sex songs and this is one of them.

QuoteKRiffhard QuoteMisterO I really dislike the title "Crosseyed Heart". Why?! To me it sounds more like a Neil Young album. I thought "Talk is Cheap" was great title, it had the put up or shut up attitude. Main Offender I thought that title was to pretentious.

My deep inside sources tell me Keith insisted on using a cow bell on every song. Only kidding, but on serious note YaHooooooooooo. I believe if is high quality and moderately successful it may inspire the band to record a new album.

How could I not comment on the song this portion of the forum is named after.... I think "Tell Me" is a unique song. It has a dated 50's sound quality, I always wondered if it was written when one of them were in their mid teens. One other thing that also interested me was that this was the first Jagger/Richard song one there first album, yet they say on their 25 x 5 video t
