4651. I lost ABB
I have the cover, but I can't find the disc! It happens, my cds are in a complete mess. Usually I find the lost ones in a different cover, some time later. Other times they never come back. Flashpoint I had to buy a second time. What to do now? - buy the special edition cd? or - buy the LP version (recent thread fired my curiosity) and burn a cdr. Is the special edition w

True OpenG, Taylor added magic to those shows! That is why I was wondering why it did not go on. C

We discussed this some time ago. ALL CD releases of EOMS are plain waful if compared to the old vinyl. CBS and Virgin CD releases differ a lot. Virgin is somehow "warmer" and that booming bass of the CBS version is now more "natural". On the other hand it is also "duller" if compared to the first CBS. Take the percussions and marimbas on black angel for istan

Yesterday, on my way back home from the office, in a semi-empty milano (xmas holydays), after a terrible day at work, I played this disc I picked up from the bunch of stuff I download and never have the time to listen to. The disc happened to be an amazing soundboard recording of the concert at the Will Rogers Center, Fort Worth, Texas, July 18, 1978. Great performance (those 78 gigs were t

If MJ didn't, somebody did!! This is from IORR news some time ago- April 9: Ronnie in boat accident While Mick and Charlie stayed at their hotel Copacabana in Rio, Ronnie and Keith went to the plastic surgeon Ivo Pitanguy's house on the island Angra dos Reis. Ronnie with his wife and son went on a boat trip off the island, and during the trip the engine stroke fire, and they

As I said before, (Billy, I AM hopeless!!!), HOt stuff and melody are the best of the lot. Memory, Fool and Hand of Fate are also excellent, but I prefer the other two. Negrita and Crazy mama, both very good but somehow incomplete (they both start very strong but never truly take off). Cherry oh baby is plain boring. All in all a great album! C

There are so many ... but Talk is Cheap is the state of the art, and You don't Move me is probably the best. The tones of all the guitars there is simply incredible. What he comes up with in Live With me from rarities is not bad either! Other great tones: Let me Go - T in the night - neighbours etc. C

The funny thing is that I did not like SW when it came out mainly for its sound - that as a matter of fact was the trend at the time - but it grew on me, and now I like it, sound included, despite it is so outdated! C

One of the best videos, ever! I believe Dancing shows a more genuine Jagger than any of the post-Voodoo Lounge videos (which try to portrait this fake "cool"-decadent-never smiling-supersexy-hero attitude). C

I am not at all a completist, but there were a couple of songs that I did not have on Rarities, so, what the hell, I bought this one too. I'll try to forget what is missing on the list, it's been discussed to death, and focus on what IS in this last release. What can I say: this disc is so embarassing I can't believe it! It's the ONLY RS' disc I can't list

I believe that most of the excitement for the sacd versions is due to the very poor quality of the normal versions (the originals CDs being better than the first remaster series which were absolutely a pile of shit). I have a quite good system, including a record player, and I can tell you that what you get on the original LPs is what yuo get on the sacd (ok the sacd sound like NEW lps).
