QuoteMunichhilton QuoteHillside Blues Thanks for the effort. Great songs on all three volumes but what's the deal with the tape source? My ears are literally bleeding. That's the beautiful thing! Back then this was the greatest stuff we'd ever heard. When I first took "Spend It So Fast" for a spin in 1986(?) I jumped around the room! I felt I was a true Rolling Stone

What about Waddy Wachtel? Not sure it could be called a Winos album without him. Sounds more like a Rolling Stones record minus Mick Jagger. Anyway, this is great news!

Where do you see that. That's great news if true. Was really annoyed when they didn't put the Exile bonus tracks on vinyl.

Why would there be 2 LP's. Must be a mistake.

Yeah, you're probably right, although the 2 takes are quite different to my ears. The long and slow version also has extra lyrics on the bridge which the short one doesn't, which is kind of strange if the long one came first. I've never heard any instrumental version either.

QuoteGazza Not The Way To Go is from RCA, Hollywood August-September '78. Not a 'Some Girls' leftover. Are you sure about that? says: 5th January - 2nd March: Boulogne-Billancourt, France, Pathé Marconi Studios. Producer: The Glimmer Twins. Sound engineer: Chris Kimsey (and Dave Jordan for Before They Make Me Run).

One of my favorite instrumentals. Such a beautiful tune. It's so strong that it doesn't even need a vocal.

It's a tough one to find but it's worth it. The sound is absolutely breath-taking. Once you hit the needle on 999 it will just slap you in the face.

Anyone here who has the double LP alternate Some Girls from the "Swinging' Pig"? I'm trying to find out which version of When The Whip Comes Down is on it. The 6 minute one or the 10 minute one.

These came first to mind... don't know why. It's not just about the words... it's the way Jagger says them. "Time can tear down a building or destroy a woman's face, hours are like diamonds, don't let them waste" "You can go back to a poor man, you can't be satisfied" "Now I ain't lookin' for no pretty face"

Just simply get the "She Was Hot" German 12" single. The best sound you'll ever get for this song.

QuoteErik_Snow QuoteHillside Blues Isn't the original vinyl version still the best source for this show? Or did I miss something? Why should you be missing something just because there's a new CD release in Japan? Well yeah... I bought the original vinyl about 2 years ago and it totally blew my mind. It was so much better than the VGP release that I can't even begin to descr

QuoteFreeBird How unfortunate. Then again, do we know for certain that the mono single mix wasn't a folddown? Tumbling Dice on the original US single is DEFINITELY not a fold down.
