If I remember well, we had the cage in Milan 2003 when they played Ouf Of Control. I was in Boston for No Security and no cage was used: the stage was too small. Bye, Luca

Hi everybody. Yesterday, I got this very unusual US GHS and I can hardly say what it is. According to some 'marks' onto labels, I'd tend to say it's the very first US press, but I'd prefer to wait for the experts' opinions: 1. rear cover: a small, styled SSL printed at the lower left corner. Printer's trade-mark? I have many copies of early US GHP, but

Don't forget that the Belgian series presents some live versions, instead of the studio ones used in France, and that some of them (Midnight Rambler) were shortened to fit the 7" lenght... My 2 cts, Luca

The singles was issued in June 1976. The picture cover is France-only: they did not have it ready from RSR. Please, consider one month of work-in-progress activity before the final layout of the cover is defined: the picture must be from the TOTA. Bye. Luca

To me, it sounds worse, now. First of allo, I was used to a 'fatter' sound and always thought that the way the sound was balanced was a sort of miracle. How could it be that a FM/TV broadcast was so brilliantly balanced? Moreover, I always loved Keith Richards fast notes toward the end of 'Waiting on a Friend'! He was so happy with these notes that danced at the end of the s

Three years between the TOTA and the 1978 tour, but only two between 1976 and 1978 European tour. The RSR never toured Europe every two years... Most probably they moved the Euro leg to 1979 and it vanished when the 'ER' sessions were scheduled. In my opinon, KR's trial has nothing to do with it... Luca

Oshawa 1979, I think it will be their choice. 1975 and 1976 are already available via Love You Live, 1978 has been issued recently and 1981/82 are on Still Life. As any show from 1989 onward would be a commercial flop, they must issue a one-of-a-kind concert. Knebworth 1976 is far behind their standards, El Mocambo and 100 Club will issued as final apotheosis of the vault series. I'd bet

In his masterpiece 'Experience', Martin Amis describes how the power of 'Stray Cat Blues' got his attention, when listening to the newly issue GYYYO. He does not mention Mick Taylor's solo, but it seems more than obvious that he was very impressed by his effort. In 'Mistery Train' Greil Marcus quotes Oackland's 'Love in Vain' as one of the highe

Not only ABKCO owns the copyrights for BS and WH, but for every other song recorded - or the recording of which started - before 30 July 1970. When the trial RS vs ABKCO ended it was set that ABKCO had the right to publish two more unreleased songs choosen amid the ones they already had in their archive. Being ABKO's next issue the mega Christmas album Hot Rocks, they decided to spend thei

'made in Japan' records are very expensive even for Japanese customers. For this reason, local retailers tend to import cheaper records to increase their sales by offering the same title, let's say 'Some Girls', for a lower price. This trend has had two effects. The former is that you can find a lot of import copies, in Japan. The latter is that the Japanese record comp

The Rolling Stones are the best cover band on Earth. 'Rhapsody' is, to me, the best term to illustrate this song and that's reason why I love Ernie Watts' sax parts, as played live in 1981. Have a nice Monday, Luca
