As the US is where they make the biggest splash economically and publicity-wise, it seems a strange move to go back to Europe so soon. According to U2 homepage, U2 has problems selling out shows this year - so maybe market has changed

QuoteBaboon Bro Bad joke, lousy journalist. I'm awfully ashamed on behalf of the Swedish journalist core. After Sweden is out of Football World Cup in 2010, they had to find out of something else to catch attention.

No other swedish newspaper mentions it !! So it is probably just rumours - they would neither allow them to spread the news this early; a Stones meeting in Stockholm in 2010. No other gossip news has the story - the closest is this "funny story" on Ronnie: ))

Quotedcba He'd better add a 2nd show since it takes him two gigs to deliver a good performance in Paris (early 90's 1992? mid90's 1996?) Takes Stones 10 shows to deliver a good show - remember Stones in Europe in 2007 - Belgium was a complete mess

Remember this tread is not about not liking KR / RW, but recognizing that KR is not in the same shape as 5-35 years ago. KR is 65 yo with bad fingers and therefore limited playing abilities - he barely played good solos 2 years ago - how will it be now? That's why people talk about getting a 3'rd guitar player to stenghten the guitar part. Unless KR gets a miracle health recovery, th

By the way what is the poblem comparing the band over time. People compare AC/DC before and after Brian Johnson. People compare Deep Purple with or without Ritchie Blackmore, people even talk about Pink Floyd with or without Syd Barrett

I don't think Jagger doesn't care about the "golden era". When Bigger Bang was made and published, he all the time referred to Exile, the way the recording was done etc. - why do you think they even made "Back of My Hand" / in effort to go back to the 70'ies?

QuoteTaylor Era Jagger doesn't like journalists getting heavy about comparisons with the Taylor era. That is a fact. - that is because you cannot compare the two eras; the Taylor Era was not only the highlight of the Stones career, it was also a highlight of rock and roll history. But if you do want to compare, I'll give it a go. Back then, the Stones were setting the tone; sadly

Quotewetland10 Quotescottkeef Some people just cant let others engage in a conversation-if Brian Jones was still alive would you do your best to degrade him to? This IS a discussion forum, is it not? Just because someone says something positive about Taylor doesnt mean they hate Ron( that reminds me of such silliness as "you cant support our troops and not the war"!) Is this for me?

Quotewetland10 Could you imagine BOOM up go the lights and it's JJ Flash or whatever, and there's Keith doing his thing, Jagger wiggling around, and Mick Taylor wandering around looking for his pick and guitar cable. Wayne He would have technicians fixing it - same happens with KR ánd RW. The technicians are making the guitars ready for KR and RW.

Jagger taks a glass of wine / champagne now and then. Ronnie drinks a bottle now and then. Keith probably drinks a whisky or something else now and then. Charlie probably also drinks a glass of wine now and then. None of them are religious and that sense - they are like the rest of us - a good glass of wine to good dinner, why not - everybody else can survive why not the Stones!!

Quotepmk251 Taylor's an odd duck and says odd things, on stage and elsewhere, that he obviously has not thought through. Keith wanting to spend time in the studio with Taylor? Hard to imagine. And the guy with whom Taylor did have a rapport and made some fine music, Jagger, reportedly still holds a grudge. Besides, the band is rickety enough. I doubt if it wants to be knocked off its co

Is this the interview - quite interesting - it is in 6 parts: In the interview you can see he is the musician, playing, jamming etc. - like this you barely see Keith. There is more style over Mick T. Could imagine Charlie would love to play together with Mick T - the blues / jazzy style, a drumming style Chalie loves to play. PS - he doen't seem to suffer in his life.

If it is just remix of old songs, then it is not "new" recording as said in the news!! THE ROLLING STONES, AMY WINEHOUSE, FALL OUT BOY and THE KILLERS have teamed up to record a new covers album to raise money for charity.

QuoteSir Craven of Cottage Seeing as any comparrison between MT and RW is off limits how do we think Mr Taylor would do against the European Champions designate? It is funny, I talked with bumbum - he had been kicked out of this forum, because he had made a "non Taylor Wood thread". He had gotten a mail from the owner of this page, being verbally spanked, threthened etc.

Keith looks quite worn out - can't imagine him playing unstage again. Even how much we dream, I think we have seen the Stones performing the last time onstage - that was O2 in 2007.
