Quotecrawdaddy Just been watching an hour long programme on UK BBC, of all the highlights of the Olympics and interviews with some of the medal winners who are back home. Thought I'd seen most of the really interesting stuff but I was wrong. Will be on for a few days and probably edited with latest interviews etc. on one of the Freeview channels and is on for about an hour. We have ha

Well the Freestyle BMX was fantastic, watching the young lady from GB complete never before seen in competition tricks was mind blowing, I do love aerial stuff, Ski Jump, Half Pipe, Gymnastics etc but this was seriously impressive and the Skateboarding was right up there for me. Also Fencing is pretty wicked and Synchronized 10m Platform Diving is just scary good

QuotePaddy QuoteDan Much better than the Woodstock movie which was mostly bullshit. ICP's Woodstock '99 one of my favorite concert videos! I’m glad the called bullshit on the original Woodstock in the doc. Bunch of hippie morons... I remember when Woodstock 94 was announced, I thought why are these old hippies trying to force 25 years ago on us. Music in the late 80s and 90s didn’t

Quote24FPS 50 years ago is clear as day to me. Brian Jones I heard about on the radio that Fourth of July Weekend. (July 3rd is also Brian Jones death date.) I remember Hendrix was reported on the evening news. I don't remember Joplin. By the time they got to Morrison, drug deaths were becoming common. I actually stood in a grocery store, and read in either Time or Newsweek about Morrison dy

Absolutely love his voice, okay this reference isn't very "Rock" but his collaboration with Linda Ronstadt is some of the sweetest pop vocals ever

Loved "Bat Out Of Hell" as a young fella, it's still something I can listen to and enjoy the production, scope and sheer grandeur of it, that 70's musical schtick/schlock reached it's Zenith around this time, but i'll give Steinman his due, you knew it was one of his songs... not everyone is that distinctive

I watch Raiders a few times a year usually, Last Crusade maybe at Christmas, Temple Of Doom probably twice in 10 years...maybe Crystal Skull was about as good as i expected, Ray Winstone's character was predictable but somewhat enjoyable, i'm probably biased though, Ray is a favourite. I've been down a Rabbit Hole about Star Wars conspiracies in the last few days and it cross

As loathe as I am to bring it up, the Gig went ahead against the backdrop of the tragedy in Newtown, I for one was really up for the gig, i'd lobbied the local satellite provider to carry it and i was set for a great afternoon, but the sheer horror of the school shooting was a dark cloud that hung in the air. Mick acknowledged it early and obviously reality comes rushing in, but I think t

Nothing is unscripted in Bond films, if you watch the extensive "Making Ofs" on each movie, you get a sense pretty early on that detail is everything in an EON Production

Montserrat was such a pivotal time, it's not given, nor could it be at the time, much depth on 25X5 as it was barely 7 months before it's release in Dec 89. With Hindsight Keith's "I'll see you in a few months or i'll be back in week" quip to Patti is monumental, that's how tenuous it was, could they find a way to productively work together again. IMO

QuoteTestify The shooting was not intended to create a DVD, but only as a scenic supplement for those who were there, thanks to the big screens. Only some tracks (the first ones) had full coverage, I guess due to the fact that they were made available to TV for the news. But I'm happy they released it, this is the classic release for collectors fans. This is something that a generation o

The Original Movie made my Grandmother laugh so much it was awesome, I hired it when I stayed with her one weekend back in 1989, probably Queens Birthday. She got every joke, saw through the Make Up better than I did and I think she might have had a sly eye on John Amos or James Earl Jones

Finally got around to catching up with an old buddy and we sat and watched/listened to the Blu-Ray this evening, such a different visual edit from the original broadcast, definitely a more engaged choice of angles, very few from distance. The Audio was a talking point, we both enjoyed the channel separation, I thought it was a bit to pronounced for a Home Theatre experience, but I really enjo
