Yes, they were different. Their songs and their music were less "serious" or dark. For example Midnight Rambler or SFTD, which are typical Stones songs are far from everything the Faces did. That doesn't mean better or worse. It's a different view on life. A different ambition. Both are a part of life and Rock'n Roll music.

Quoteretired_dog micha063, you're the star of this thread now! Enjoy your 15 minutes of fame! Neither I want nor I need any kind of fame. I find it strange, that a simple statement of thoughts leeds to an emotional fight like it did. Why?

The Rolling Stones are and will always be The Greatest Rock'n Roll Band In The World. Millions of people from 1962 to now have great memories and for many of us they have become a part of our lives. Quotetiffanyblu QuoteStonedRambler Quotepftw04 THE ROLLING STONES last was 2019. In 2022, it was good. But not like 2012 to 2019. Post Charlie's demise, there performance has declined a bit. In 2022, specially Mick Jagger he was not that athletic compared to 2019. Even his vocals were weak. I think a lot here will disagree. I saw them in 2022 and they were much more energetic than 2017.

QuoteRobertJohnson There is a band that has no original member and continues: Lynyrd Skynyrd. Remarkable is that the characteristic sound is the same over the years. After ten seconds you recognize them as Lynyrd Skynyrd. They managed to endure as band without losing their identity. But this is also the problem for the Rolling Stones. Can they preserve their identity when Keith and/or Mick are no
