Already page 65. It surely is one of their top live releases and it shows how strong they were in the late 70s. I am glad, that I can listen to one whole Mocambo gig. I was 14 when LYL was released and I loved it from the beginning. I still have my very girst vinyl of it. What a band!

Quoterollmops That second show at El Mocambo is the last time Billy Preston played live with the Rolling Stones. Great performance by Billy. Rockandroll, Mops Yes, it was his last show with the Stones. He inspired their music and was a great piano player and singer. Some weeks ago I saw a clip with him playing piano and singin for some older black ladies. Impressing artist.

Quoteschwonek I grew up on Love You Live and will never change one single note about. It is perfect. Yes! No need for me either to change it. But of course it could be fun to create your own album. Why not?

Quotebakersfield There aren't many times in your life when something you always dreamed of turns out to be even better than you hoped. El Mocambo is certainly one of them. Im sitting here listening with a great big stoopid smile on my face )) Yes! I was 14 when LYL was released and I loved it. The El Mocambo side was my favorite part of it. And now I'm 59 and smiling.

QuoteTaylor1 QuoteKurt To me, this is THE ROLLING STONES. The best time in the band's history...best lineup, best fire, best drive, best interplay, best equipment, best venue, best best best. Wow.Not the best lineup. All three lineups were great. The Brussels 1973 Stones had untoppable ferociously energentic playing. But I also love the best of the Wood years Yes, Bru

QuoteStoneage I think the late seventies was the last time the Stones really mattered. Producing new albums every other year and bringing them onstage. In many ways the 1981/82 tour was the farewell to that. Yes, I agree. 1981 / 1982 was their last Rock'n Roll tour. Everything after this was different, more pollished or "Las Vegas". But this does not mean, they should have dtopped

QuoteJMARKO Is anyone else amazed and remembering that this is a band that hadn't played together for 7 months, and their chief guitarist missed rehearsals? Yes, indeed. It's hard to believe but it's truth. May be, this was one reason for them trying to give their best of the best. This performance is simply outstanding good. The best release of a live show since a very long ti

It's the Stones. This treasure being opened to us makes me feel like 14 again... But it's a long time ago and time waits for no one. This is one of the documents, that prooves that the St

QuoteTaylor1 The Stones have never sounded as great without Bill. You can hear what he brought to the band on this El Mocambo release That's right! He sounds swinging, warm, groovy and in in top shape on this release! And it's the greatest release in years! We've been waiting for 45 years for this. I'm one of those, who liked LYL from its release. But this is outstanding. W

Wichita Lineman is one of the greatest songs I know. The original version by Glen Campbell is fantastic. The song was written by Jimmy Webb. It's in my repertoire and I don't sing it very often but it's one of those tunes, that make you feel taking off.

Quotejigsaw69 I have 12" pink vinyl as well. Love it !! And now you mention it, sometimes when i have listened to it, it does feel like a different take as well as a different mix. Also agree that Harlem Shuffle is a great 12" extended mix. Same with One Hit. Yes! I bought the One Hit maxi about 25 years ago in a second hand record store. Many of the remixes are useless but Miss

QuoteMKjan Quotemicha063 Michael from Germany. My uncle listened to the Stones, when I was 6. That was in 1969. In 1975 I recorded some Stones Tunes with my first cassette recorder. In 1976 I saw the tour poster and was very sad, that my parents didn't let me go... in 1977 I bought my first records, which were "Relics", by Pink Floyd, "New skin for the old ceremony", by
