Anyone knows about this? Probably happening some time during the tour this spring/summer. Billions of cicadas are set to appear in a rare ‘double brood emergence,’ scientists say (CNN - Jan 26, 2024) In a matter of months, they will dig their way out from underground, red eyes shining, deafening song filling the air. It will be a confluence of creatures the likes of which hasn’t been seen i

For all kinds of IORR Forum Search I would advise to use the main Search, as found on the top ruler of every forum page: Then change the search into whatever you like, by content, by user, by last 30 days, or any other time frame. IORR is a free service. May be there is a glitch in one of the many shortcuts around in the forum software; it is more than 20 years old, even if it has b

There is nothing wrong with the IORR Forum search. If you do a search like this: Search Search Authors: schillid All dates Search (click) Then you see this: Current Page: 1 of 443 Results 1 - 30 of 13268 The first post from schillid was 17 years ago. Then there are a total of 13,268 posts listed through the search. A grand total of 13,459 posts from schillid are logged int

One of my great still stressful memories from Wembley Stadium was arriving late - very very late - for one of the shows. I was on a flight out of Oslo Norway at 3pm, not very wise to fly on show day. The flight was canceled, and I was pushed into a 5pm flight. Luckily there is a -1h time difference to UK, but still, getting through customs takes time. I was with no luggage, rushing out for a

I do know that Wembley Stadium as of today is not the very same stadium as The Rolling Stones did perform their 12 shows in during 1982-1999. Still, anyone of the 12 x 70,000 fans,i.e. close to one million fans, who went to those shows, do have great memories from the area, arriving into Wembley Park Tube Station, or some of the others nearby, walking up to the stadium, and the shows 1982 (2), 19

I have merged a number of old IORR "Visit London" threads together. For links see the main page IORR link list "Forum links of interest". I am sure there are more than one BOOK about this subject. May be the book title is not "The Rolling Stones in London". Still, get the book(s). Then, just a few chapters which should be in such a book: Wembley Stadium (12 sh

Since the "Next Generation IORR" post was done on Jan 1, 2024, I have received many comments, suggestions, advices and more. Due to the lagre volume of e-mail, and the complexity of the task, it will take time to implement the Next Generation IORR. Updates related to the task will be posted here. There used to be a very nice little bakery named STICKY FINGERS just across the avenue. They had the greatest hot chockolate I have tasted, on a cold New York day, but sadly they are out of business now.

IORR has been publishing pictures and stories from all press conferences and shows since IORR went online in 1996 i.e. from 1997, 1998 and so on. Just follow the News pages and the tour announcements, and there are plenty of pictures and reports. I attended every one of them, see examples here: IORR news up to August 1997 Aug. 22: Photos from the press conference ..... IORR news Nov/0

My most precious Stones shirts are those very few ones I use for special occations, like the blue/white striped Argentina shirt, used at the Fonda show, also the large graffity style "GLASTON BURY" shirt, but hard to wear because then I have to wash it afterwards. Some are still sealed, Voodoo Lounge shirts, and then also some 1984 IORR Fan Club shirts, grey and light blue, I like h

Many years ago Mick and Charlie were involved with tour merchandise design. These days The Rolling Stones are a commercial machine, with hired designers, P.R. people, multiple designs, high prices and commissions on merchandise. I can not see any reason why I should have the new album in ten different vinyl designs. Equally I can not see why I should spend my savings on stacking up tons of T-

Posting spam is a waste of time, because hundreds (by now 1,216 people) will spend time reading the thread. Deleting the subject and contents of the first post in a thread, or changing it dramatically, is just as bad, because it makes a spam post even less understundable. If you have done a post which makes no sense, or you regret posting, then just leave it. Please do not make major change

Aftenposten is THE leading newspaper in Norway. It is a great drawing. Det evige liv er mulig på jorden (Eternal life is possible on Earth) by Frank Rossavik - Published Jan 11, 2024 It is about eternal life, a rather philosophical article. Still a great article. Drawing by Marvin Halleraker.

What I would really appreciate is that that people stopped posting clickbait threads, trying to register meaningless usernames with offending or simply misleading statements, and all sorts of other out of the line threads. I would of course use the "ban posting" option starting very soon. It takes just seconds, while cleaning up takes a lot more time.

Please post in English language only on IORR. Any other languages posted in a thread may be deleted, and time will be wasted. There are Google Translate, many other tools to use for translations. It would be a big mess if everyone, selfishly, used their own native language on IORR. Also, it would take a lot more time for moderation. Feel free to write "colo" or "colour"

If you have browser problems, then try another browser. There are Firefox, Chrome, Edge and other browsers available. Also, try deleting cache and temporaty files. With Chrome, try Ctrl-Shift-N, then you will get a new instance of Chrome in Incognito modus, which means the browser instance will be "dumb" and have no history brought in from previous sessions.
