1. New studio album. Fully realized songs with actual intros or bridges, the occasional solo break, good arrangements. Not demo-y like most of their studio stuff since 2002's Don't Stop (LIND and a few others from ABB being the exceptions). Come on, Guys (and mostly Don); songcraft, production values, arranging...you can do this! 2. Live 1973 cd from Australia, LA benefit, Hawaii. Or

I didn't get on the internet until 2000. Before that, I just used my computer like an electronic notebook and to play cds and simple games. When I finally took the plunge and got a dial-up modem subscription, the first thing I looked up was "Rolling Stones fan site." I think it was on Ask Jeeves'(?) search engine since Google didn't exist yet. IORR was at the top of t

"If there's no Charlie, there's no Stones. I wouldn't want to go on if he's not there." - Keith Richards Except the band as a whole, and with the blessing of Charlie, had already agreed to do a mini-tour without Charlie and still using the name "Rolling Stones." (That said, covid may still necessitate cancelling the mini-tour anyways.) Keith, Ronnie a

Hmm, I don't know how rare my "lesser seen" Stones' songs are and I can't find the live Stones' database site I used to refer to. Anybody got a link to a good one? I thought there was a link here on IORR, but I think that Time is on My Side just lists years a song was played and not how many times a song was played. Thanks!

Sigh... Sigh.. Sigh. Thank you Charlie, and thanks to the IORR community (past and present) for 20 years of nerdy arguments, setlist quibbles, unearthed bootlegs, ephemera and everyone's infectious enthusiasm and passion for the Stones. Charlie kept the band down to earth even when they were in the stratosphere. It still hasn't quite sunk in. Love to you all while we proc

A case could be made to include: "Love You Live" Genesis "Live '73" Be Bop Deluxe "Live in the Air Age" Pink Floyd "Live at Pompei" soundtrack I wish they'd just kept the list to rock/folk, because once you expand to country, pop artists, etc., there's just no way you can do much with 50 selections. Each style/genre/category probably

Sanctuary, holy shit. And the guitar-fest of riffs and bends that is Dreams to Remember. And the feel and guitars on Desperate Man. And... lol, I'm swimming in this shit.

My average age keeps changing, damnit, and it always keeps going incrementally up. So I guess if I'm going to be 60 in 2021, my average age is just under 30!

The Steelers get their starting center and running back back today, but have alot of holes on D: LB's Bush, Dupree, Spillane (Bush's replacement), no Joe Haden. If the replacements can hold their own, the D line and Watt should pressure Buffalo. On the Offense, they need to get more creative playcalling and stop the dropped passes (13-14 in last 2 games!). I think this is going to be

Let It Loose is a great suggestion, PWE. As are some of Keef's ballads, Angie and the Eb in Brown Sugar. How about the bridge in the middle of E, A, B rocker Rocks Off? F#/A# to F# to C#m...or maybe something from GHS like Can You Hear the Music?

QuoteGasLightStreet Quotecrholmstrom Dallas/SF has been flexed out of SNF in a few weeks for NYG/CLE. Get your affairs in order, this could be a sign of the apocalypse. You have to know Jerry Jones is not a happy camper. That sort of thing can get a coach fired. Of course in Dallas it's unlikely the GM gets the axe. Loving it! That is truly bizarre. Cleeeeveland? Incredible. Perhaps it&#

Mike Greenblatt: "I had never heard a sitar live before. It was so psychedelic, so unbelievably different from anything I ever heard, I was blissfully demonstrative to the point of the guy next to me telling me to relax because he was just tuning up." Haha, what a great recollection.

118 songs over 24 shows (1978 - 2015). 1 Theater, 8 arena, the rest were stadiums. I couldn't compute "total songs seen" because for several of the stadium shows, I needed to skip the last number or two to catch my ride and/or beat the parking lot crowd.
