QuoteGasLightStreet Wow. I compared the Virgin to the remix. So far I've only focused on Crazy Mama. What a difference. Can hear so much more. That's good. I remember the first time I heard Crazy Mama on my '75 LP...the mix sounded a little muddy to my ears. Over the years, with each remaster (or remix) it seems to improve. While typing this, listening on spotify and it sounds grea

QuoteTurner68 QuoteBrownSugar1980 The only other one I can think of is Let It Bleed, which was originally titled Automatic Changer. i feel like the history of the band would have been completely different if they had stuck with that (horrible) title.. nah. obviously makes more literal sense assuming same album art. album names dont change history.

QuoteBraincapers Quotesweet neo con quick take...rupert implies keith is smarter and has the talent. I'm not sure that we should infer this from the limited extracts we've seen. QuoteOlly Opinions differ greatly on the likelihood of another studio album. As you say, sweet neo con, the band were in the studio with another purpose in mind, but whether there is / will be enough to form another album remains unknown. I'm treating Blue & Lonesome as a coda, but will be happy to be proved wrong. i just got around to reading the Rolling Stone Magazine interview

enjoying the album. sorry...haven't visited iorr in a while...so I am unaware of all details. i am aware that this album came about spontaneously as a result the band being in the studio to write new material...and wanted get things kick-started by playing some blues. does anyone know if there was also new material written/recorded at the same time? thanks.

Yes...i remember having the same "odd moment" that Hockenheim95 described. Back in mid 80s the local classic rock radio station was switching over to CD and they featured it on a Sunday night show in which they played a CD in it's entirety (Hot Rocks 1 & 2). these West German London discs came before the abkco disks were sold in the US. Compact Discs were new and expensive.

QuoteAlmostHearYouSigh Take a look at the video for Neighbors. Keith's hate for Mick is so obvious. Thanks to this cheaply made video (no retakes-keep the camera rolling) you can see Keith's public contempt started in 1981. Mick became a person Keith can't accept. Telling video - Mick wants to play the part of room-mates and friends and Keith is like f off I don't act. you ar

The Fonda-Gig would sell more items than a DVD that is in fact very similar to Hyde-Park. The only difference between Hyde-Park and Cuba-show is the location and who cares for the location, it´s about the music and not about a 15-minute-mini-doc

QuoteMore Hot Rocks Shaw came in at the 5th studio album. Funny how he kinda took over the name. not sure..but i think JY started the band...which is why JY & Tommy are "Styx". and like Tommy had a problem with Dennis being "the voice of Styx" as Tommy was the voice of a few of their hits. I've seen current Styx and Dennis DeYoung with his new band....enjoyed
