Nash is a real tool - he spent so many of these last years dumping on Crosby, and as soon as he dies Nash has a new album to promote and he is all "David and I were brothers and even though we hadn't spoke for years the day he died we were supposed to call on the phone and reconcile" right... .he is full of crap. The main reason their friendship died was because Nash dumped his wi

If I understand the topic, the most famous run out was after a day in the life on Sgt pepper, right? Also I seem to remember on some John Lennon single the words "Phil & Ronnie" etched into the run out

I have to buck the trend here -- I enjoyed son of schmillson and pussy cats, as well as everybody's talking, but I personally don't think nillson was the genius a lot of people say he was. Yeah he wrote a few good things, made a couple decent albums but that was it. He blew his voice out, and due to his alcohol-ism became more notable for his partying with Lennon, Ringo, Keith Moon and

Somewhere on the Internet is a really funny interview with Nick Lowe talking about the night Keith Richards joined rockpile on stage at the bottom line in NYC right after being released from his Canadian drug bust and how Dave Edmunds and Keith got into it because Keith was so out of it he kept playing in the wrong key and they finally had to have him escorted from the stage -funny stuff

Rick Derringer has passed - never a huge fan but did enjoy his work with Johnny Winter ( the live album is pretty killer ) and with Edgar Winter-- believe he also produced frankenstein for the Edgar Winter Group. He was 77 Rick Derringer, Guitar Journeyman Behind ‘Rock and Roll, Hoochie Koo,’ Dead at 77 (RollingStone.com)

So sad to hear this - when I was doing my radio program I would do entire evenings of the band- Garth and his wife maude were great contributors to those programs, sending me all kinds of unreleased songs and rarities. I interviewed him once and I have to say it was wild. I would ask a question and he would play piano for a couple of minutes before answering...we talked a lot about the band as we
