Yep--selling, reposting w/o permission, poor remastering, etc. All the usual stuff. I still think this board should coordinate and collaborate to get more Stones shows covered in high quality. Even those who can't tape could contribute to get experienced tapers to shows. Beats just waiting passively for stuff to drop.

Full show exists in quality you heard from out of control. It's a mix of 6 iem feeds of I recall. I will not be releasing for a variety of reasons.

-- Seemed like Dan's upload of the Who from Vegas got some good love, so thought I'd link folks up here with recordings from Sacramento. One is a remaster of a schoeps audience source I did, and the other is a 6-feed plus aud matrix. Just please folks...don't remix/remaster/@#$%&-up and share this recording without at least asking permission. --- The Who Sacramen

Quoteretired_dog Well, if you believe that someone with 750 recorded shows in 11 years, considering the free time it needs, not to speak of the costs for tickets and travel expenses even across the continents, is an amateur who's doing it all for free, you must be pretty naive - looks more like a well-oiled underground business enterprise in my book. However, he and his "group"

Like Daspy said, I didn't hit any shows this tour. I do know folks who taped IEMs this tour, and whhile there's a change on their frequency range on a few feeds, it can still be recorded. Daspy--I'll get ballsdeep to join us over here

Quoteretired_dog The above quotes from the conversation with your friend and group member (or even alter ego?) are telling enough. The focus is on you, not me. Stay on topic. Going to post here, mostly due to the erroneous statement that I am an alter-ego for daspyknows. I've known daspyknows for over ten years now as a fellow taper, but we are not the same individuals. Quotefalo01 Quotedeardoctortake1 thanks for this matrix! fantastic stereo sound what is the best app or program to use to create a matrix recording? Not sure if I can give a satisfying answer in case you wanna try it yourself. You need a lot of practice until you feel comfortable to do it. Anyway, the most important software is Dart Pro. With constant minor speed changes, I have to s

Listened to Badge. I hear phasing issues from the alignment, and several things like the vocals fade in/out on the left/right. Ultimately I found the panning to be more distracting than anything as a fake stereo. I guess if it works for you, but not my cup of tea.

I have a bunch of clips of recent mixes on my soundcloud: I posted a clip of my Santa Clara 2019 mix on there of Stones. I've done a few other stones mixes in the past. I've released a fair number of mixes on DIME and other torrent sites in the past. I also did a time alignment video on YouTube: . While it's primarily around time aligning IEM recordings, all the same princi

I haven't had a chance to listen to this particular one, but I know I can hear alignment issues even when it's only 4-5 samples (assuming a 44.1k sample rate). Just to clarify, you consider this to be an upgrade over Daspy's source? I won't be doing a mix of this show. If there was a wireless source then possibly, but nobody I know was running any IEM gear.

QuoteStonyRoad Quotesenecastj So you took lossy YouTube audio and mixed them together? Beyond the obvious why, How did you do the alignment? Have you listen to some tracks (I mean the ones with 2 sources mixed)? Try for example the ones with Ronnie do it and and you will get the answer. About alignement is not so difficult because they're digitals recordings so without speed variations (exc

I know exactly who you're talking about. I tried telling him multiple times to go practice away a few shows because standing in front of speaker at home doesn't prepare you. He hasn't even attempted a show since then. Guess not a priority for him.

I have not had any success with ALD recordings at Stadiums. However, I do have a friend that had a few successes. If you decide to go that route, try to attend a sports game at your target venue so you can check into it first. Check one out, practice with it, see how reception is. I did that for one stadium, and turned out they never plugged the antenna back in after a remodel. Again, practic

Quotefalo01 Just taping one feed doesn't make much sense. You need several different feeds with different mixes to get a usable recording. This alone makes your effort difficult. Beside that you don't know the frequencies and have to find them, which you can only manage if you miss the beginning of the show to search or have a soundcheck to try. Or you have connection to the japanese

Like daspy said. A single receiver will cost about 800 dollars plus thur recorder. You'll have to find the right frequency and pick a good feed (ending up with only a backup singer feed is not good). Even then, there's no single feed that is fully mixed. If you do decide to buy some wireless gear then I recommend doing some shows for practice first.

Well you can mark them in different ways Easy to zap a whistle in Izotope RX. But you can make adjustments that are inaudible but easy to spot once you know what you're looking for. I remember painting people's names in the upper frequencies from 16khz-20khz. I could spell out a persons name in the audio in 3 seconds and chances are they'd never even hear it. I haven

How ever much the buyer is willing to pay! If I recall, the general Japanese bootlegs were $20-$30/cd. Some were higher. There are folks just selling CDR copies they make...so its really just how much they can sucker people to pay. As far as how much a taper could sell recording...no idea.

Quotedaspyknows Quotesenecastj I think you're missing the point about rskinno doing shoddy remasters and reposting them against tapers' wishes. This action has led to a lot of irritation, and I know several tapers (including myself) that have generally opted to hold back Stones recordings. Reposting and SELLING. In the taper's community the scum of the earth are those who sel
