@Deltics and Naturalust - At the end of the day it is great to see the original line up on stage together. To think that people will not have a difference of opinion or different view points is just ludicrous. @Deltics - I made the comment I made about audiophiles because of the comment swiss made. So you should read the entire post. Furthermore, I made my comments about Brian playing the pi

Amazing footage of the Stones performing one of the best songs in rock history. This video really demonstrates how versatile a musician Brian was. It also makes me start to think if he should have received credit for playing piano for sympathy because the August 9, 1969 Rolling Stone Article dedicated to Jones says that he played countrified steel guitar and piano on Beggars Banquet (http://www.r

QuoteHis Majesty I'm wondering if you're mistaking Keith parts for Brians? None of Brians playing is loud, just that it's easier to hear on the two versions I uploaded. Keiths guitar is upfront and has him playing lots of licks, riffs etc. Pointless in that Brians YCAGWYW part doesn't make the song better. He's gently strumming 2 chords for the majority of the song w

Pointless from what perspective? In my opinion Jones was more of a purist than the others and wanted to keep things more roots orientated. In the audio you provided I really like his rhythmic styling on YCAGWYW which blends in great with the percussion work of Rocky Dijon and Watts. YCAGWYW is a simple song to begin with and I don't think Jones cared for it anyways (based on his facial ex

I have to agree with Majesty. It does appear that Brians guitar is turned down and who is playing the acoustic in YCAGWYW? Oh wait there isn't anyone.... LOL. Geez they really must hate Brian to go back after all these years and overdub and cut out his parts like that. Majesty I really do appreciate you posting these tracks. I can hardly wait to listen to Brian because I could neve

Thank you so much everyone for posting. You have provided me with some invaluable information. I have asked the poster of the B&W Circus to re-post so I am hoping he/she is willing to do that. I will also try to get the other downloads mentioned. Brian Jones may you rest in peace and we will never forget you.

Hi Greg and Potted, Have you guys worked something out? I would love to get in on that black and white video with Brian's part not edited out. I am willing to pay but within reason I am not a rich man by any means. Where you guys able to get it to AVI from video? I watched and listened to the most recent DVD release again today on my PC this time with headphones. Clearly Jone's wo

I am a huge Brian Jones fan. I have heard people say that on the most recent DVD release of Rock and Roll Circus Jone's guitar parts have been edited with another guitar part. Most noticable on "You can't always get what you want". I would have to agree with that but, I can definately hear him on "No Expectations". Anyways, I was wondering if anyone has the bootleg I

First of all I just want to say it was great to hear some additional tracks that Jones played on. Just love that slide guitar on Sweet Lucy. Thanks Tattered I appreciate the info about the Satanic Sessions however based on the research I conducted I dont believe there are any fully completed tracks like on the Beggars outtakes. Correct me if I am wrong. Also, I am trying to find out how I c

Hello Fellow Stones Fans There is no doubt in my mind that a 78-minute disc of alternate mixes and outtakes from the Beggars Banquet session, in superb sound exists. I found out about it at the following website: However, the website says it is not available. Does anybody happen to know how I can get a copy? Thanks. Andrew
