Get Close
Slave
Tie You Up
I know its been played in the 60s but always wanted to hear them break out Mother's Little Helper again.
Incredible all the mentions of Get Close and its own thread is still active, clearly seems like to most popular song at least on this board from Hackney. Forum: Tell Me
GNR was a hair band, and in my opinion Def Leppard were far better. Some people are just obsessed with GNR who made one good album. Undercover was not a hit anywhere close to Start Me Up so not sure what you are talking about, not a good comparison. Forum: Tell Me
Ok at best, but better than most bands can off. There are some weak tracks on Undercover, the first 3 songs of this record are great then the rest up and down meh. First new Stones album to come out when I became a fan but I don't hold nostalgia for it the way many do for their first Stones album. Forum: Tell Me
I think Superheavy is the best stuff Mick has done outside the Stones. What sticks as popular or not doesn't always mean its good or bad. Look at what is popular today. Forum: Tell Me
I also don't like Prince's solo at all. over the top flashy. Don't get why people freaked out over this, the kind of guitar playing I don't like. Forum: Tell Me
Would enjoy a reissue of this, and I agree Some Girls deluxe is by far the best of these releases. There is so much left from these sessions that we all know about. Maybe throw in the 1979 Barbarians/Stones show as a bonus. Forum: Tell Me
Dead and the Stones are prob my 2 favorite bands. They are so different and so similar at the same time. Same goes for the fans I know so many Stones fan that are deadheads, at least since my US friends. Was not into Dead and Co but appreciate Bobby keeping the music going along with Phil for so long after Jerry died.
RIP Bobby, the end of an era! Forum: Tell Me
As mentioned above the Stones can really use an archivist like the Dead, when we get something from the Stones it always could have been so much better. The Dead has real fans doing this that are passionate. It makes a huge difference. Forum: Tell Me
While I find Appetite to be one of the best debut albums, Use Your Illusions have to be the worst follow up albums. Many unlistenable songs. And yes the covers are horrible. Forum: Tell Me

Keith Richards likes to insult his colleagues. Of course Taylor's behaviour might have become problematic, due to his substance abuse, as Glyn johns pointed out. Taylor joined the Stones at the age of twenty - the other members were at least five years older. At this point in life five years play a role. Taylor was too young, and his career never developed, because of his dru Forum: Tell Me
After the Stones the Dead are my other favorite band. Phil was such an innovative bass player, RIP. He is jamming with Jerry, Pigpen, Brent and others right now. Forum: Tell Me

Very surprised nobody has posted this yet, made headlines everywhere. He surprised everything, even the band he played with.
Made headlines "everywhere"?
No it didn't.
It sure did! Hey do a google search for Keith or country hall of fame and so many articles come up. Pretty cool Keith still has the appeal. Forum: Tell Me
Still loving the new album, my biggest complaint is them not playing more of it live. If you look back at new albums this one has the least amount of new songs played live. Even ABB they played more songs from. Forum: Tell Me
Didn't mean to twist your words but even one of the worst is harsh. Technically Providence is much closer to Foxboro than Boston with a good size airport. And Foxboro does have a good amount of hotels which are less than a mile walk from the stadium.
The alternative is Fenway park which is horrible concert venue for sound and seating but yes technically close to everything. Forum: Tell Me
Harsh to say its the worst place to see a concert, there are plenty of airbnds within a few miles of the stadium and the sound in the stadium is fantastic in that there aren't areas I've heard of that have poor sound like many of the stadium this tour. Forum: Tell Me
Out of my 6 shows, Vegas, Foxboro, Orlando, Cleveland, Atlanta, and Denver.
Denver was hands down the best show musically. It was a full moon, I believe also the longest show and my favorite poster. Forum: Tell Me
If you look at their greatest hits albums from the 60s many hits just miss this list like Mother's Little Helper, Play with Fire and so many others. They seem to overlook this period of music besides the mega hits. Forum: Tell Me
Huge Dead fan but John Mayer's voice hurts my ears. There are three living/founding members of the Dead and Bob Weir is the only one from that group in Dead and Company. Just a Dead cover band at this point. Forum: Tell Me
I'll just say this, I have friends, many whose favorite band overall is the Stones but they haven't spent money on going to see them live since 2005 because of the setlists. Still huge fans and spend their money on Stones releases. Forum: Tell Me
