I definitely hear the guitar figure in the left speaker at the beginning of the song, the one that's more buried, but all it is is that one little figure. And it's only played a few times throughout the song. There are large chunks of the song where you can't hear that guitar at all, which is separated from the others by having a different tone. I don't think that one little r

I've listened to the song a few times now and I am 99% certain Keith is nowhere to be found on this track. I've played guitar for years and studied his playing inside and out and I'm just not hearing him here. What I do hear is someone playing something that vaguely sounds like something Keith Richards might play, but missing the mark. There are certain figures in this song that Ke

I bet everything in my ball sack that isn't Keith playing rhythm on this track. Either all guitars are Mick and Ronnie or they are all Ronnie.

Song is bland. And Keith is nowhere to be found on this track. He's just not. The rhythm guitar doesn't sound like Keith Richards, it sounds like someone trying to play like they think Keith Richards would play. Charlie is not on the radio version. That might be him on the album version but it's up in the air. The lead licks do sound like Ronnie. I'm going to predict that a

QuoteTeaAtThree Question about IORR: Mick J's voice seemed so much higher and thinner to me when I listened to it last night. Why is that? Is it just the song selection? The keys the tunes are in? I notice this most on Fingerprint File. It sounds to me like they sped the tape up to pitch his vocals higher. This technique has been used by many.

I don't see why it's so odd. I mean, the guy isn't a drummer. And just because there aren't a ton of pictures to show it doesn't mean he hasn't sat down at the drums over the years.

I consider "recent" Stones to be 1989 - present. A list of worthwhile songs from this period include: Mixed Emotions Terrifying Almost Hear You Sigh Slipping Away Love Is Strong You Got Me Rocking Out of Tears Baby Break It Down Flip the Switch Out of Control Saint of Me Too Tight Thief in the Night How Can I Stop Don't Stop Rough Justice Rain Fall Down Back

It was the worst of the Cohl era tours. Keith was the biggest weakness. The new material also wasn't that great and didn't translate well to the stage.

These day's he's probably a better player than Keith. Plus, we don't know what he's fully capable of. I'm not seeing he's Jeff Beck, but it's not like he's gonna come out on stage with Ron and Keith on stage and take over.

I know he has humbuckers on a few different telecasters but all I ever see him using is the bridge single coil. That's pretty much all I hear as well. Just seeing if maybe I've missed something.

Quoteelectricmud QuoteCindyC This thread is inspiring me to go listen to my favorite TP song - Rebels. With all respect, but this is typical american MOR sound, clean, poppy, no dirt. Nice, but that`s all. You easily can change the voice to Sprigsteen, even Bon Jovi or others.. That`s one reason why I love the Stones with all their rawness and non-perfection.. I hate when people have thi

I love their version. As for why it was never released, I have to assume it was because they decided to go with "Ain't Too Proud To Beg" instead and didn't want two cover songs on IORR.

If he had recorded the vocals for Following The River with the sound of his voice on Till The Next Time, I guess there would be no complaints here on this board with the song. Specifically, listen to when he sings the l

Listen to Till The Next Time We Say Goodbye. He doesn't sound all that different there than he has in recent years. I don't think it really became full blown until Bridges to Babylon. Sure, there are traces of it here and there before that, but that's when it really became locked in. I actually consider Voodoo Lounge to be his last great album vocally. There are some offenders

Quoteflilflam I just bought EOMS and am enjoying it immensely, especially the new songs. It is disgusting, though, that some fans have elevated this album to such a high level that criticism of it is not even slightly tolerated. To criticize EOMS now is tantamount to criticizing Jesus for having hair too long or for not having cured more lepers. My problem with EOMS is that some of the lyrics
