I want to say a nice thing about the thing: mick singing is not bad yesterday I went out driving, in 20 mins the song popped up twice on 2 different radio stations. I say it for those who think that: if it gets attention, airplay, good reviews than it means that it is objectively good i don't think so

QuoteNikkei Honestly I enjoy seeing Mick doing something, anything but I don't enjoy the song. After a couple of listens, the melody of the chorus is really grating on me and while the verses are fun in some way, I also see the recurring pattern of Mick name-checking the latest buzzwords as if to convince future listeners that he actually was around up until that time. Everyone is trying to

gave it another try insipid, cold and boring muscolar exercise, sounds as "a god gave me everything" part II: no roll (even doom & gloom, that comes from the same mould/attitude, has more roll in it, but wittier lyrics) no need of another lockdown song also, but glad mick did not kept it for himself. hope for a ROLLING stones release sooner than later good for the many sto

QuoteHairball thank God there's the Fully Finished Studio outtakes to fall back on as I'm still thoroughly enjoying that massive leak. +1 about grohl I kind of like the saturday night live iorr version (if i remember correctly) other than that my musical taste depart onto the opposite direction of things like ff it's easy here to quote Keith: rock is nothing, it's a

I was about to add: it makes me reconsider Ghost town as a deep good cut faux punk and generic rock, you nailed it Hairball, but i do think it is good for mick to put out his thing no matter what

I agree with you Mariuana, and of course, as i said, you can like her music or not, that's an opinion and my opinion is that marianne output is overall really good in the past 20 years here I was talking of her "artistic engagement" as a measure of her as a single artist. english is not my mother language so maybe it does not make sense. maybe these lists are more clear Stud

About Marianne talking about her years with the Stones 1) Hard to avoid since interviewers fovus so much on them and ask her about them 2) Not strange as it was a fundamental period of her life for the good (the spotlight, the beginning of a career) and the bad (the spotlight, the beginning of a deep addiction and more..) about moving on: many of her records from strange weather and broke

QuoteHairball Quotepeoplewitheyes Agree, Hairball, Can't Find Love is just great. Has kind of Think I'm Going Mad simple groove about it, Mick is on top form, and the piano playing is subtle and beautiful. Who plays piano there? I put together all of the '82 tracks from FFSO, called it Wasted Opportunity, and Ilove it. Would've made such a great, soulful collection - wi

some here consider "I can see no one else" as a kind of sketch or prototype or double of "One hit" and I can hear why, some similiarities in the rhythm and progression. but I see it differently, it is not a double but another output from the same mould that goes in a different direction (you described it very well Doxa, I would just add an '80s new wave sound feel in that
