I met Charlie by chance in Tower Records in London in 1990 just a few days after seeing one of their Wembley gigs. He was browsing the CDs upstairs in the jazz section, so I apologised for bothering him and just told him how much I enjoyed the show. He thanked me and then continued to browse so I didn't pursue an autograph, but what a gentleman.

The tour deserves to flop. Buckingham has saved them so many times including helping save Fleetwood from bankruptcy in the late 80s by rejoining the classic lineup and giving over songs to the band that were meant for solo albums because they had no other worthwhile material to use. Neil Finn's a decent enough songwriter but just an average musician IMHO, while Mike Campbell is a great playe

Yes, they opened for the Stones at the second O2 show & the singer got in a strop because the few people that had gone in to see them stayed seated.They did nothing to try and win the crowd over. Dull Brit-pop at it's worst.

The recording that's on Wolfgang's vault is taken from Plays The Animals and is well worth checking out as it's the entire concert. I think it is an audience recording of the show rather than soundboard although it is difficult to tell as the quality is excellent.
