I still listen to this album weekly. I just get goosebumps of the harmonies by Mick and Keith. Dreamy Skies is a favourite of mine. The way Mick sings sprawl and hoot of an owl, etc. A genuine classic Stones country song with classic harmonies by Keith.

Now let's hope it is mixed decent, like the Mocambo Live, and it won't sound anything like Live Licks or Four Flicks. There is something off on those.

Fantastic rhythm by Keith and Ron. This is Slave no. 2. Brilliant soundscape with the percussion and quiteness before the sax solo.

I'm a sucker for the Dobro by Ronnie. Like on The Storm, Love In Vain on Stripped, and Already Over Me. He plays some tasty beatiful slide licks on these songs. Dreamy Skies has a beautiful soundscape as well. Very very tasteful. And that harp by Mick is just heaven, the sound and melody of it.

A shame I think , cause that reference is only one/two sentences. To me it is another Stones country classic!

Love this song. Love the way Keith and Mick sings the words "in my mind". Those harmonies are legend! Nice melody, nice, clear and vulnerable voice by Keith.

Quote3ddie Oh my god I thought I know it all. And then I found this today: TUMBLING DICE ( PIANO VERSION ) A part of this was used on the rendition of Tumbling Dice on the 1996 Wild Horses single, edited together with tharis 1995, March 7, version. All I found is that this was part on a interactive CDrom-addition of the first Stripped-CDs. Hell, I want the complete take as an audio, love it

MSN review Sweet Sounds Of Heaven I think the reviewer got Keith and Ronnie mixed up? Ronnie plays some soulful playing on the right I think (with tremelo)and Keith adds some beautiful licks on the left. Bass I don't know. If it is done live than Watt must be playing the bass? Since Ian, Nicky and Billy not heard this kind of soulful piano (incl. the sound). Heard four songs so f

The first three tracks do surprise me positively! It sounds different, yet classic Stones riffs, but Jaggers part is with way more melodies. He sings with far more power but shouts or gnarls less. Grt Close is Slave 2 with another power riff by Keith, percussion, amd sax at last! Love it! Depending On You reminds me of Wild Horses. Cannot wait till the album release. Hope there is enough d

This one is actually brilliant. Keith blasts his guitar, what a sound, almost as sharp as Street Fighting Man (though acoustic), hitting those Telecaster strings.

I was born and raised in Groningen. After Paradiso Amsterdam 1995 (I did not attend) I dreamed of them to play in the Oosterpoort Groningen, another small venue. Alas that never happened. But in 1999 performing at Stadspark Groningen, my backyard, was the next best thing! So of course in 2020 I went to Unzipped in Groningen, and will go again this year. It is the history of a legendary band wh

QuoteTestify I love that version of WH, Ronnie does a good job and I like his melancholy guitar. Ronnie is brilliant in this type of subtle playing, more of supporting the song then a leading solo.

Bridges, their last album with a fantastic guitar sound! After this album and No Security their production and sound was never up to par anymore, at least to my ears. Different times I guess and the boys are getting old.

Quotefrankotero retired_dog, any chance you might be wrong? I get your point but there's some valid points here. By the way the first 2 songs I bought in HD quality from Qobuz and it's basically the same sound as the MP3's, over compressed and probably a 9 on Dynamic Range. That's less than acceptable to an audiophile. Absolutely the side on LYL is superior. Believe me when I

QuoteDorn QuoteMadMetaphoricalMax Hearing the percussion, the Fanfare, that French voice the crowd, the announcer..."Le Rolleeng Stones!!!", that sort of a shuffle on the drums from Charlie and then those chords, pulling as strong as oxes, the cattle of the sun.... I'd never ever heard anything like it,the power of that moment was phenomenal, and remains so. perfectly described,

Though hearing is subjective, to me Love You Live has a warm production overall. The productions of some great live material released in the last years were really messed up. Blue And Lonesome does not equal their blues sound like The Storm, So Young, Fancyman, etc. Yes, they recorded Blue spontaneously, but still. Even some bootlegs sound better than the official releases. It's a bit of an
